The warm embrace of the sun's rays gently nudged Pinkan awake. She stretched, her green and blue eyes blinking open to reveal the breathtaking view of the grassy field. The dew on the blades of grass sparkled like tiny diamonds, and the air was filled with the sweet aroma of the flower orchard nearby. She sat up with a yawn, feeling the soft cushion of the earth beneath her.
Her fur was a mix of pink and her natural color, a testament to the berries she had consumed the night before. With a smile, she pulled out the remaining berries from her pocket and popped twelve of them into her mouth, savoring the burst of sweetness and tartness as they dissolved. Her fur fully returned to its vibrant shade of pink, the color she had grown to cherish.
Guide's projection flickered into existence, looking down at her with a knowing smile. "Ready for your morning bath, Pinkan?"
Her eyes lit up. "Oh, yes!" she exclaimed, jumping to her feet.
Guide conjured a floating ball of crystal-clear water, which hovered a few inches above the ground. "Just to let you know Pinkan, i made sure that you can temporary breathe in here."
Without hesitation, Pinkan leaped into the sphere, the water enveloping her in a cool, refreshing embrace. She giggled as she felt the extra air filling her lungs, allowing her to breathe freely even as her fur became soaked. The sensation was peculiar, yet surprisingly pleasant. Her eyes sparkled with joy as she twirled around, sending droplets of water flying in every direction.
Guide chuckled at her antics, his projection floating beside her. "Remember, Pinkan, we have a busy day ahead. We need to prepare for the opening of Pinkan's Sweet Spot and ensure that the Color Shifting Cake is perfect for Dorothy's arrival."
Pinkan nodded, her excitement momentarily overriding her playfulness. She knew the importance of her upcoming debut and the responsibility it held. The cake had to be nothing short of spectacular.
After her bath, Pinkan stepped out of the water sphere, the excess water dripping off her fur.
Guide snapped his digital claws, and a soft, warm breeze enveloped her, drying her off in seconds. He then pulled out a brush from his system menu and began grooming her meticulously, his movements gentle and soothing. The brush glided over her fur, untangling the last remnants of the night's adventures. With a flourish, he sprayed a fine mist of scented oil that smelled of lavender and mint, leaving Pinkan feeling freshened and invigorated. She purred contentedly, her eyes half-closed as she enjoyed the pampering session.
Once she was groomed to perfection, Pinkan looked up at Guide with a question in her eyes. "Where should we set up the Sweet Spot today, Dad?"
Guide's projection considered for a moment before speaking. "How about the right side of this field, Pinkan? If we head straight down, it'll lead us to Route 5. The beauty of the field will make your vendor shop stand out even more."
Pinkan's eyes lit up at the idea. "That's brilliant, Dad! I love it when we're surrounded by nature!"
Guide nodded, his projection swiping through a map on his system screen. "Route 5 is a high-traffic area, and with the field as a backdrop, it's bound to draw in a lot of customers. Plus, the view is stunning, and it's close enough to the beach for a nice breeze."
With a skip in her step, Pinkan set off in the direction Guide had indicated. The field of flowers stretched out before her, a canvas of vibrant color that seemed to dance in the early morning light.
Her heart was racing with excitement as she approached the spot where she would set up her vendor shop. The area was indeed breathtaking, with the sun casting long shadows across the dewy grass of Route 5's, and it seems no one is awake this early yet, so there is currently no traffic.
With a flourish, she tapped her gold koban, and the magical vendor shop materialized around her. The pink canopy fluttered open, revealing shelves that were currently bare, but not for long.
Pinkan's eyes gleamed with excitement as she began to summon the Color Shifting Cakes from her inventory. They appeared in a flash of light, a row of perfectly rounded cakes, each one a masterpiece of culinary art. The frosting rippled with shifting colors, reflecting the light like a miniature aurora borealis.
With care, she arranged the cakes on the shelves, her claws moving with a grace that belied their usual clumsiness. She stepped back to admire her work, her chest swelling with pride. The sight of her creations on display filled her with a warm sense of accomplishment.
Guide's projection hovered beside her, his eyes scanning the setup. "Everything looks perfect, Pinkan. Just remember, the key to a successful business is not just in the products but in the presentation."
Pinkan nodded, her mind racing with ideas. "I know, Dad. That's why I need to find the right packaging for Dorothy's cake. Something that will showcase its beauty and make it truly special."
Her phone buzzed in her pocket, and she pulled it out to check the notifications. The U.D. Marketplace had a new arrivals section, and she scrolled through eagerly, her eyes widening when she saw the perfect packaging. It was a clear box, adorned with swirls of gold and silver, with delicate pink flowers etched into the corners. It was so elegant, it looked like it could hold a crown jewel, let alone a cake.
Without a second thought, she tapped the screen, purchasing two of the boxes. In a flash, they appeared in her hand, materializing from the ether. She carefully placed one of the Color Shifting Cakes inside, the frosting playing peekaboo through the delicate design.
With a grin, she sealed the box with her logo sticker. The image of a Meowth with a wreath of flowers around its head looked back at her, a symbol of her unique brand of kindness and creativity.
[CUSTOMERS POV]
Andy, an aspiring Pokémon artist with a penchant for capturing the essence of the creatures in his paintings, had been following Pinkan's culinary adventures on social media for a few days. Each post showcased a new, ingenious dessert that looked too good to be true. When he saw the latest update about the Color Shifting Cake, his heart skipped a beat. He had to have one.
Throwing off his covers, he dashed to the window of his cottage, which was a short jaunt from Route 5. The early morning light painted the world in soft pastels, a stark contrast to the vibrant colors of the images on his phone. His Meganium stirred lazily on the floor, watching him with sleepy eyes.
"Come on, Meganium," he called out, "today's the day we get to taste Pinkan's masterpiece!"
Meganium, who had been content with its quiet morning nap, stretched out its long vines and yawned, revealing a mouthful of leaves. It looked up at its trainer with mild curiosity before deciding to join in on the excitement.
Jack, on the other hand, was miles away, nestled deep in the Route 27 campground with his trusty Beedrill. Despite the distance, they had developed a routine of checking Pinkan's posts every morning, dreaming of the day when they could visit her shop. The latest notification brought a pang of disappointment.
"No way," Jack murmured, his eyes scanning the message again. "We're all the way out here, and she's setting up on Route 5?"
Beedrill, sensing his trainer's distress, buzzed in concern. Its compound eyes focused on the phone's screen, trying to understand the source of the sadness.
"Don't worry, buddy," Jack said, patting Beedrill's head. "We'll get to try Pinkan's Products someday in the future."
Andy, on the other hand, was already halfway out the door, his heart racing with excitement. He couldn't believe his luck. The thought of finally being able to taste Pinkan's legendary desserts filled him with a childlike glee.
[Pinkan's POV]
Meanwhile, Pinkan sat in her vendor shop, her tail swishing back and forth with nervous energy. She had spent hours perfecting the Color Shifting Cake, and now it was showtime. The gentle hum of early morning traffic grew louder as the sun climbed higher in the sky.
Guide's projection hovered nearby, offering words of encouragement. "You've got this, Pinkan," he said, his digital eyes gleaming with pride. "Your sweets will win over the hearts of all who try them."
The first customer of the day approached, a young girl with fair skin and dark red eyes that seemed to dance with excitement. Her long purple hair was hidden under a black-striped white baseball cap with a lightning bolt emblazoned on the front, giving her an air of spunkiness that matched her yellow horn necklace. Casey's outfit was a delightful blend of colors and stripes, with a pale blue t-shirt peeking out from beneath her yellow jacket, and white shorts with black stripes. Her brown and white sneakers looked well-worn from her travels, hinting at the adventures she'd been on.
Guide's projection noted her arrival with interest. "Looks like we've got company, Pinkan," he murmured, and she turned to see the girl with the intrigued Chikorita by her side.
Casey's eyes widened as she took in the of the Vendor Shop and sees the display of the Color Shifting Cakes. She couldn't resist the allure of the rainbow-frosted delights. "Two slices, please!" she exclaimed, her voice bubbly with excitement.
Pinkan beamed at her new customer, Recognizing her from the episode Called *The Double Trouble Header* in her Past Life. Her tail swishing happily. She carefully extracted two slices from the display and wrapped them in the most adorable Pokémon-patterned napkins she had. "Here you go!" she Meowd, taking the Pokédollar with a graceful bow.
As Casey took the cake slices, she couldn't help but notice the glowing emblem on the packaging. "Thanks You!" she called out, already snapping a picture with her phone, her Chikorita mimicking the pose.
They strolled away from the vendor shop, looking for the perfect spot to indulge in their sugary treasure.
The moment Andy saw the Pink Vendor Stand, his heart skipped a beat. It was a small, charming structure with a canopy that fluttered gently in the breeze. He had only seen it in photos and videos, but in person, it was even more magical. The pink canopy matched the color of Pinkan's fur she was famous for.
OK, maybe not Celebrity level famous, but she's slowly becoming well known in the Community.
Like Pinkan's said in her Post, she's only selling her new product today as he sees shelves of them were lined up with the adorable Decorations that sparked his imagination.
As he approached, the smell of freshly baked goods wafted towards him, making his mouth water. His eyes immediately darted to the star of the show—the Color Shifting Cake. It sat proudly on a pedestal, the frosting rippling with colors that seemed to dance in the morning light.
With a squeal of excitement, he leaped off Meganium's back and rushed to the counter. Pinkan, the adorable pink Meowth, looked up at him with a cheerful smile, her eyes gleaming with anticipation. He could barely contain his excitement as he pointed at the cake. "I'll take two whole cakes, please!"
Pinkan's smile grew even wider at his enthusiasm. She carefully selected two of the most vibrant cakes from her display and placed them into the exquisite gold-trimmed boxes. Each box was adorned with her unique logo—a playful Meowth jumping over the words "Have a Fantastic Day" surrounded by swirls of Flowers and Leaves.
Andy couldn't believe his luck. He had followed Pinkan's journey from the moment she posted her first recipe online. Her creativity and passion for unique cuisine had captivated him, and now he was standing in front of her, holding two of her legendary Color Shifting Cakes.
He handed over the Pokédollar with trembling hands, feeling like a kid in a candy store. Pinkan took the payment with a graceful nod, her eyes sparkling with satisfaction. She knew that every customer who tasted her creations would be spreading the word about her little shop, and it brought her so much joy to see the excitement on their faces.
After securing the boxes onto Meganium's back, Andy took out his sketchbook and pencils. He wanted to capture the beauty of the vendor shop before the bustle of the day began. He knew that once the word spread, this tranquil spot would be flooded with eager customers, all eager to taste Pinkan's magical concoctions.
Meganium watched him work, her large eyes filled with curiosity. She had been with him through thick and thin, and she knew that a full belly and a happy trainer meant a good day ahead. The anticipation was palpable, the air thick with sweet scents and the promise of something new.
Once the sketch was complete, Andy looked up at the vendor shop again, a sense of awe still gripping him. He couldn't wait to share the experience with his friends and fellow trainers. And maybe, just maybe, he'd even get to try one of those mysterious Ocean Mystery Gummies he had heard so much about.
With a final wave to Pinkan, he climbed back onto Meganium's back, the two of them setting off to find the perfect spot to enjoy their dessert. The cake was calling to him, a siren's song of sweetness and wonder. He knew that once he took that first bite, he would be forever changed—and that was precisely what he was looking forward to.
He couldn't help but feel a thrill of excitement as Meganium's powerful legs carried them back to the cottage. The anticipation grew with every step, the gentle sway of the boxes tied to Meganium's back a constant reminder of the delight that awaited them. His mind raced with the possibilities of what the cakes would taste like. Would they be as magical as they looked?
Finally, they arrived at their quiet abode, the aroma of the Color Shifting Cakes wafting through the air. Meganium looked at him expectantly, her leaves fluttering in the gentle breeze.
Andy carefully removed one of the boxes from Meganium's back, his hands trembling with excitement. He took a deep breath, savoring the moment before he lifted the lid. The cake inside was a dazzling spectacle, the colors swirling and changing with every movement. The sight was so mesmerizing that he almost forgot to eat it.
He took a tentative bite, and his eyes widened with pleasure as the symphony of flavors danced across his taste buds. It was heavenly, a perfect marriage of sweetness and mystery that made him crave more. Meganium watched with interest, her nostrils flaring at the tantalizing scent.
They devoured the cakes together, their eyes meeting in silent appreciation of Pinkan's culinary masterpiece. Each bite brought a new burst of flavor, a delightful surprise that kept them guessing until the very last crumb.
Their taste buds still tingling with the aftertaste of the Color Shifting Cake, Andy and Meganium decided to share their experience with the world. He snapped a few photos of the half-eaten cake, the vibrant colors still shifting even on the plate, and posted them online with a glowing review. "Best. Dessert. Ever," he typed, his thumbs flying across the screen.
The post was met with an outpouring of comments, likes, and shares, with many people expressing their own desire to try Pinkan's creations. The excitement grew as they saw more and more people discovering the pink vendor shop on Route 5.
Back at the stand, Pinkan watched as more customers approached, her heart swelling with pride at the sight of the smiling faces and the Pokémon eagerly sniffing at the goods. Her third sale was a success.
The buzz grew louder as the day progressed, with travelers and locals alike drawn to the pink oasis in the field. The sight of Pokémon and humans alike enjoying her treats brought a warmth to her heart.
The rest of the day was a blur of smiles, laughter, and the sweet scent of success. The Color Shifting Cakes were a hit, and the line of customers grew longer with each passing hour.
But amidst the whirlwind of activity, Pinkan couldn't shake off the feeling that something was amiss. Her eyes kept darting to the horizon, searching for a familiar figure that had not yet appeared—Dorothy and her Dewgong. The sun dipped lower in the sky, casting a warm glow over Route 5, and the chirping of Pokémon grew more distant as the day wound down.
As the last customer left, clutching their prized dessert, Pinkan took a moment to breathe. She turned to the back of her stand, where the reserved cake for Dorothy sat untouched. The fancy package looked almost lonely on the shelf, waiting for its intended recipient.
Suddenly, she had a question for Guide. "Dad, how do all these customers understand the signs on my shop?" she asked, her eyes wide with curiosity. "They all come from different places. Surely, not everyone speaks the same language?"
Guide chuckled, his projection swiping through a series of screens. "Ah, good observation, Pinkan. I've enchanted the sign to translate automatically. So, whether someone's from Kalos or Paldea, they'll read it in their own tongue."
Pinkan's eyes lit up. "Wow, that's so clever!"
As if on cue, a familiar figure appeared in the distance, a plume of dust rising as they approached. It was Dorothy, waving enthusiastically with Dewgong by her side, the Pokémon's fancy hat bobbing with each step.
Pinkan's heart skipped a beat. She had been worried all day, and now her dear customer was here. She watched as the old lady and her Dewgong grew closer, their figures becoming clearer with every step.
Dorothy's eyes sparkled as she took in the sight of the vendor shop, her Dewgong's eyes lighting up at the sight of the treats.
"Welcome, Dorothy!" Pinkan meowed, her voice filled with relief and excitement.
Dorothy beamed, her cheeks rosy from the walk. "Pinkan, my dear, I hope we're not too late."
Pinkan hurried to her side, assuring her that she had the cakes ready. She pointed to the shelf, where the reserved cakes sat in their elegant packaging.
Dewgong's eyes widened, and she picked up one of the boxes with her mouth, examining it with curiosity. Dorothy nodded, clearly pleased with the presentation. "These are absolutely stunning," she said, her voice filled with wonder.
With a sense of accomplishment, Pinkan handed over the cakes, accepting the Pokédollar with a graceful nod. The Design on the packaging worked flawlessly, displaying the words "Color Shifting Cake" in a script that matched the elegance of Dorothy's fur coat.
The old lady and her Dewgong thanked Pinkan profusely, their excitement palpable. As they turned to leave, Dorothy called back, "We'll be sure to share our delightful treat with everyone once we get home!"
Pinkan watched as they disappeared into the setting sun, feeling a sense of contentment wash over her. She tapped her Gold Koban once again to closed up the shop in her Inventory.
"Alright, time to rest," she yawned, pulling out her phone to post an update for her eager followers. She typed out a quick message, her thumbs moving with surprising dexterity for a paw. "Thank you all for making today amazing! Pinkan's Sweet Spot will be taking a short break to prep for even more delicious treats! Stay tuned for our grand reopening! 💤🛌💖🐱 #PinkanVendor #ColorShiftingCakeSuccess"
With the post sent and her social media responsibilities fulfilled, Pinkan turned her attention to the Pinkan Berry in her paw. The sweet scent was almost too much to resist, and she popped it into her mouth with a crunch. The berry burst with flavor, rejuvenating her with its magical properties.
Guide hovered beside her, his projection pointing towards a spot in the distance. "Why don't you rest over there, Pinkan?" he suggested. "It's a safe location, and it'll be perfect for you to regain your energy."
Her eyes followed his gaze and landed on a massive cave, its entrance a gaping mouth in the side of the hill. She nodded sleepily, her tail swishing with fatigue. "That sounds wonderful, Dad."
As she walks towards the direction Guide pointed, she slowly sees a Large Cave in the Distance.
Pinkan's eyes widened with wonder as she approached the cave. It looked so cozy and inviting, the perfect place to catch some much-needed rest. The cave's entrance was large enough for a 12 Pokémon to fit through, which made her smile at the thought of the bed Guide promised to summon for her.
Guide's projection grew larger, and with a swirl of digital energy, a massive, fluffy bed appeared before her. It was a Queen Size Snorlax Bed, that looks suspiciously like a Gigantic Plush, She couldn't help but giggle at the sight—it was adorable and comfortable-looking all at once.
Feeling the weight of the day's work and the excitement of meeting all her new customers, Pinkan looked up at Guide with a hopeful gaze. "Could you brush my teeth and change me into my pajamas, Dad?" she asked, her voice small and tired.
Guide nodded, understanding her need for comfort. With a flick of his digital wrist, her mouth felt fresh and clean, as if she had just used the best minty toothpaste in the world. Then, with another wave, her usual attire transformed into a soft, pajama set with a pattern of Sharpedo swimming across it. The fabric was so comfortable that she couldn't resist the urge to yawn.
Guide carefully levitated Pinkan onto the bed, the Snorlax-shaped Bed seemingly swallowing her up as she lay down on its belly. She was so tired that she didn't even have the energy to change into the pajamas herself.
Her eyes grew heavy as she felt the warmth of the Snorlax-bed enveloping her. She was asleep before she could even think about the events of the day.
Guide of course took some pictures of his adorable Daughter Secretly, he hope to Show it off one day but he knows that he can't.
After all he's invisible to everyone else except Pinkan, maybe he can get a Upgrade later for himself.
[Wild Pokémon POV]
Seviper slithered through the tall grass, his eyes locked on the elusive Crobat that darted just out of reach. His forked tongue flickered in anticipation of the chase, a thrill coursing through his veins as he coiled his muscular body, preparing to pounce. Crobat, sensing the danger, squealed and took to the sky, the wind whipping through its pointed ears.
The two rivals skirted the edge of the cave, the sound of their struggle echoing faintly through the entrance. Inside, Pinkan lay peacefully on her Snorlax-shaped bed, her breathing deep and even. The cave was dimly lit, the shadows playing across the walls as the daylight outside began to fade.
As they neared the cave, something strange caught their attention. Seviper's instincts told him to flee, but curiosity held him in place. Crobat hovered above, his wings beating frantically. The air grew thick with the metallic scent of blood, and both Pokémon could see a pile of lifeless forms, their colors muted by a grisly coating.
A Hatterene lay on the ground, its head grotesquely separated from its body. A Rockruff, its insides spilling out, stared lifelessly into the void. And a Decidueye, wings torn from its back, beak agape in a silent scream.
Before they could react, a figure emerged from the shadows, a Morgrem drenched in crimson. It held a Bunnelby's ear in its hand, and with a flick of its wrist, it tore the appendage in two. Both Seviper and Crobat felt their hearts drop as they watched the blood-soaked Morgrem advance, a twisted smile playing across its features.
Seviper and Crobat shared a moment of absolute terror, their hearts pounding in unison. The Morgrem raised its blood-stained arm, ready to strike again.
Panic set in, and in that moment, their rivalry was forgotten. They turned and bolted away from the horror, their previous battle forgotten in the face of this new, far more terrifying threat.
As they disappeared into the distance, the Morgrem's illusion faded away, leaving the cave mouth looking as peaceful and inviting as ever. Only Guide knew the truth, and he couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt for the traumatic sight he had conjured.
Pinkan slept on, oblivious to the chaos that had unfolded mere feet from her. Her chest rose and fell in a steady rhythm, the Snorlax Bed swaddling her in a warm embrace. The gentle snores that escaped her lips filled the quiet cave, a stark contrast to the horror that had just been revealed.
Guide hovered over her, watching with a protective gaze. He knew he had done the right thing to keep her safe from harm. After all, it was his job to guide and protect her in this world, and sometimes that meant making difficult decisions.
But the sight of the blood-drenched Morgrem remained with him, a reminder of the darker side of this world. He made a mental note to be more careful in the future, not just for Pinkan's sake, but for all the innocent Pokémon who might stumble upon their path.
Pinkan will be disappointed if she ever find out what he did, but for know he will keep watch for any intruders so she can Sleep.
