Whereabouts

"So she has returned. To think it was during this yearly event that my kingdom would be thrown for a loop. For what reason must someone like her take so much power?"

A powerful man stood over the bodies of countless beasts. His clothes were coated in gore as he kicked them away, chunk by chunk. His expression was devoid of light, his gaze coated in darkness.

"Corrupted beings... must all die."

His hands clenched tight, blood dripping as he continued to walk deeper into the forest. His ears perking as he heard the voice of another.

"Your majesty! A pleasure to see you here. Ahem... erm... are you alright, sire? You look positively atrocious. Where is-"

A single swipe of his hand and the second man's head was cleanly torn from his shoulders. He still looked into the eyes of his king as the light faded.

"Corruption... disgusting."

-

"Dear, for what reason was your uncle sent flying? You know your father cannot do anything if-"

A sweet looking woman, almost the spitting image of Milyara, was cut short. Milyara's uncle was getting to his feet, his eyes wild.

"You little BITCH!"

Aveline pulled her hair behind her ear, giving the king and queen a kind smile.

"Pleasure to meet you. My name is Aveline Synclair, your daughters fiancée."

She looked back at Milyara, a cute blush across her face.

"Any requirements before we leave? I still need to get the fifth princess on my list back."

Her parents seemed shocked, their eyes unable to leave Aveline's face.

"Wh-who... who are the others?"

"Far north of here, Princess Sylvra. To the west, Princess Wesrey. To the south, Princess Orphelia. Right here... well Princess Milyara, obviously. The last is from another dimension, Princess Naname."

Aveline ducked suddenly, a fist flying over her head. In the same motion, she swerved behind Milyara's uncle and kicked his knee from underneath him. He slammed down, his face red with rage.

"So yea, I'm taking Milyara whether you like it or not. Stop attacking. Now, you two. All of her suitors can get bent, she's mine."

With a quick and happy step, she took Milyara's hand and left the room. As she headed down the hall, a pair of voices were laughing.

"Dear, she's a delight!"

"Definitely. Our girl has chosen a massively amazing woman to be by her side. Maybe soon, we can remove the shackles placed upon us as well."

Aveline smiled brighter, leaning in and kissing Milyara on the cheek.

"So, you ready to have an adventure?"

"I'm just shocked it went to quickly. We never even saw Kano!"

"Never saw who?"

The girls turned around, their eyes falling on the man Aveline had knocked away from Milyara a few hours prior. He was ashen pale, but slightly red. His eyes filled with hatred. Between his hands, Barraden was standing. His own gaze was weak and practically lifeless.

"I'll release him if you both come with me. I can do with a pair of slaves to follow my every-"

Aveline was no longer beside Milyara, the latter fearful until she saw Aveline tear the man away from her brother. He was thrown over her shoulder, then against a wall.

"A hostage?! Just because you're a horny prick?! What the hell is your problem?"

Aveline flashed over to him, slamming her foot against his ribs. The man gave a satisfied smile as his hand gripped Aveline's leg.

"Try getting free from this. You'll be mine whether you like it or not."

Milyara took a step closer, her eyes more fearful. She pulled her brother behind her, his body almost limp as she moved him.

"Aveline, he has the ability to drain people of their stamina!"

Aveline looked down, her gaze confused.

"I feel nothing."

Leaning down, she lifted him and sent him flying out of a nearby window. Without a single care, she carried Barraden towards the nearest place he could recuperate.

SPLASH

"Oh. He did survive... did he?"

Aveline shrugged it off, her mind on the two people with her at the moment. She followed Milyara, her gaze enjoying the way the girl dressed. Before long, they made it to a room filled with books.

"A library?"

"Barry's room. He is actually a major bookworm. I'll write him a letter and get my mother over here. He's too weak to process anything right now."

Aveline nodded, letting Milyara get to work.
