Day 2. Division

As the two children walked out of their village, they looked for a while. They remembered all of their fun times they had with Alex, the only kid who actually noticed and talked to them, and sighed.

"I really hope we find Alex.." Jeremy mumbled as they left their home, the place they have lived for 10 years of their lives.

"Don't worry! We're gonna find Alex, and all the other missing kids! No matter what!" Screamed Taylor as she ran in front of Jeremy.

She's always been extremely energetic.. I dont think I've ever seen her cry once.. Jeremy thought to himself as he started to catch up with Taylor. He looked over and saw her smile, given that she has never been outside of the village before in her life.

"Woah.. This is amazing!" She said, so happy that it was like Alex being taken didn't faze her anymore

"You really think this is so amazing?" Jeremy said, all he thought that beyond the village was just another place, maybe even more dangerous than Mabel.

"Of course I do! Why wouldn't I?" Taylor screamed at Jeremy, playfully punching his arm.

Jeremy started to get furious at the way Taylor was acting in this situation, the situation being they just left their home village, after their best friend was kidnapped.

"Stop acting like everything is okay, I'm sick of it, Taylor!" Yelled Jeremy, furious towards Taylors behavior.

"Shut up!" Screamed Taylor, "You have no idea what it's like to be in that stupid place! You don't have anyone to actually hate you! You're all alone! You're lucky that Alex and I are actually here for you!" She shouted, enraged.

"Like you'd know how I feel!" As Jeremy yelled full of pent up rage and aggression for how he's felt over the years, "You actually have people at home who care about you! I have nobody! Nobody in this world even acknowledges that I exist!"

"How do you know I have people at home?" Responded Taylor, about to prove Jeremy wrong, "Nobody at home notices me, and they aren't even there! They only use our house as a vacation home, when it's a nice summer day, which never happens in our village!" Yelled Taylor, angry at Jeremy's assumption.

"I'm leaving." Mumbled Jeremy.

"W-what did you just say..?" Said Taylor, frightened.

"I said that I'm leaving!" Screamed Jeremy, "Have fun finding Alex on your own, Taylor, if you can even stay on track." Jeremy mumbled the last part, but loud enough to make sure she could hear it. He was clearly mocking her adventurous spirit.

"What!? Fine! I don't need you! You're only gonna mope around and be depressed!" Screamed Taylor, running away, Jeremy couldn't see it, but she had tears rolling down her eyes.

"Heh.. who needs her.." Mumbled Jeremy, walking south, continuing on his path.

* * *

As Jeremy walked through the forest, with vines hanging down on each side of him, he started to think about Alex and where he could have gone.

First I need to think about how the mist could have done this.. How it could have taken so many people.. He could have fainted and something might have taken him.. No, that's not possible, it can't be..

As Jeremy walked through the forest, he looked around and for once felt happy. He didn't think that the outside of the village could have been so peaceful. He wished he could have thought this more until he stepped in something. As Jeremy looked down, he felt everything he ate that day escape his body. He started to vomit violently, keeping him unable to breath for a few seconds which felt like eternity.

"O-oh my god.. What the hell happened!?" Screamed Jeremy as he lifted his leg up from the deformed arm.

It looked like it was ripped off of the torso and attacked vigorously. There were scratch marks all over the arm and blood was pooling out. The cuts were so deep he was sure that he saw bones and split veins. He looked ahead the path and saw multiple more limbs, each more deformed than the last, and then he was sure it would end with a head covered with a pool of blood. He walked forwards on the path, bracing himself for the dismembered head, until he was frightened on what he found. Jeremy shrieked and backed away after falling to the ground.

The head was his, and the dismembered, bloody body was his as well.
