Compared to the undead swordsman, the black knight's speed was on a whole new level. Xiao Lin made some comparisons while watching the battle idly and came to a more helpless conclusion: using the Phantom Step in conjunction with his Ruin state was no guarantee that he could reach the same speed as the black knight.

"It's Bronze-rank at least." Xiao Lin suddenly realized a possible problem. Some of the books about basic undead knowledge that he had previously read stated that the master's ability must surpass the undead creature under their control, otherwise the spiritual connection between the two sides would be difficult to maintain.

Of course, the prerequisite was to pass the hurdle that was the black dragon, which did not appear easy to do at all.
