Luckily for me, Leana didn't force me to have a child, though I stayed in bed another hour. If someone told me I would reach the limit of my regeneration by having sex, I would have laughed. But now, the only thing I wanted to do was refuel.
Entering the kitchen, I groaned when I saw that Cal was in the kitchen waiting for me, "You guys were pretty loud. I hope you went easy on the poor girl." Rolling my eyes, I opened the fridge, "I soundproofed all the rooms in this ship. How did you know what we were doing."
I saw no point in denying it. Cal was bound to find out soon enough. "Well, after I saw that Leana wasn't in her room, I decided to do a little snooping and 'accidentally' walked in on the both of you. I didn't know a girl could make those sort of sounds."
Sitting down, I prepared myself for another question, "So tell me did you put a baby in her?" I glared at Cal for a long minute before I shook my head, "Leana defiantly wants kids, but I want to hold back on starting a family any time soon."
A few minutes later, Evos walked into the kitchen, rubbing his eyes, "Good morning, Soren, Cal." The kid's hair was matted, and he looked like he didn't get any sleep. "Morning Evos, you look tired."
"The ship was rocking a lot last night, even though there wasn't a storm. Didn't you feel it?" Hiding in my plate, I grumbled as Cal laughed, taking pleasure in my guilt. "Don't worry, Evos, after the first time, things tend to settle down usually."
Standing up, I cleared my throat, "I'll hold combat lessons in one hour. Would one of you tell Ace when he wakes up?" Cal said she would tell him, and I nodded, starting my daily routine of watering the garden.
The fruits and vegetables I planted had grown and bore fruit, so it took a bit longer as I picked berries and pulled out carrots. Taking another moment to wash and store the produce, I was just in time to start teaching.
Evos and Cal were stretching on the deck when I arrived, "Oh, you guys are already warmed up. I guess we can get right into this. Cal, I know you're a very experienced fighter, but what about you, Evos."
"I don't think I'll be any good at fighting anyone hand to hand." Shaking my head, I raised my head, "Well, let's see, just try and hit me, will you." Evos looked unsure, "Can I use my devil fruit powers?"
I nodded, "You can use anything. Everything goes in battle." Evos nodded, and he ran at me. Relaxed, I waited for his attack seeing hundreds of flaws in his rush. But Evos suddenly transformed into a cloud that expanded to cover me.
The cloud immediately suppressed my senses, and I smiled, "I knew you were a smart one." Trying to use my Haki, I was more shocked than ever to find I could barely see five meters in front of me.
"Is this part of his power? It has to be. I don't want to think what a pro could do with this fruit." Suddenly I felt something in the food moved, and I pounced only to have my fist pass through empty air.
"What the hell?!" Then from behind me, I felt it. I could almost picture a tiger pouncing on its prey. Growing a pair of arms from my back, I threw Evos to the ground, shocked that he could produce such an Aura.
Coming back to my senses, "Sorry Evos, I don't know what happened. Are you sure that you've never been in a combat situation?" Rubbing his back, Evos got back to his feet, "It's okay, this is the first time I've been in a fight."
Ideas started to run around in my head. "Hey, Evos, I want to run a few experiments. Would you join me later in the lab?" Evos nodded yes and stepped back as Cal took his place. "I want a rematch from last time."
I smiled, "I'm sorry, but I have to refuse."
"Why Not!!" I winced as Cal screamed, my ears ringing a little, "The reason why is there is no chance of you winning." Cal huffed but didn't object, "Isn't that the point of this, that we can get stronger. Evos didn't have a chance of winning either."
Sighing, I stared Cal in the eyes, "Evos has room to improve. We both saw it his potential for assassination and stealth is incredible. But you are in another boat, Cal. I hate to say this, but you're old. In the past, I do not doubt that you could have contested with the best of them."
Cal tightened her fists, and tears welled up in the corner of her eyes, "So what, are you saying that no matter what I do, I'm too old. Some useless thing to be thrown to the side."
"No, I accepted you for a reason. I already offered to heal your arm. Just take my hand." I offered my hand, and Cal stared almost as if it was a live snake. Sighing,, Cal grabbed my arm and collapsed. Already prepared,, I picked the warrior up,, carrying her on my shoulder.
"Evos prepare the lab for a patient, and my supplements." Evos nodded running off to carry out my orders. Once everything was ready I put down Cal who was in the deepest sleep of her life.
"Soren what are you going to do?" Evos looked over my should as I began to place out vials fill with various liquids and metals. "I'm going to be making Cal a new body, to reverse her age I'm going to have to replenish the natural materials found in her body. Unfortuantly most of them aren't orgaining or living so I'm going to have to implement them artificially."
Evos nodded in understanding, "Oh like Vitaims."
Smiling I snapped my fingers, "Exactly my dear apprentence."
