The final pieces were falling into place. The only thing left was the next transmission from Evos. But as the days stretched, my trust in his coming through was waning. I was all left on edge, but it stopped when I saw the newspaper's headline the next day.
'Lueteinite of Chian Breaker Pirates, Evos the Reaper's execution date set for three days.' My heart almost stopped. I dropped what I was doing and ran to the communication tent. But when I arrived, Abby was already crying, her figure crumpled in defeat.
Walking over, I pulled her into a hug, "Don't worry, we'll get him back." Abby didn't say a word. Instead, she collapsed, fainting her mind shutting down from the shock. Others took over, relocating her to the infirmary.

"So they're holding him at Imperial Down and executing him at Marine Headquarters." The newspaper in Ace's hands burst into blue flames. Not even ashes remained from the fire.
The table was silent as we all sunk underneath the weight of the conversation. The most influential figures in the Revolution Army were there in person, Ace, Cal, Leana, Robin, Dragon, and Whitebeard.
Leana let out an exhausted breath, "Do we know anything about who Evos was in contact with before he was captured?" Dragon shook his head, "Unfortunately, It seems that the entire task force has been caught. For all, we know they could be dead."
Cal banged her fist on the table, cracking the hardwood, "Why are we even discussing this? There's only one course of action. We attack, and I don't care what kind. I just want to be leading the charge."
"I agree with Cal. Evos is one of us. There's no way we're letting him die." I looked at Whitebeard before gazing around the table and seeing similar nods of agreement.
"Alright then, this is the opportunity we've been planning for. It's all or nothing. We'll meet tomorrow on specific plans. If the Marines want a head-on battle, that's what we'll give them." There were nods from everyone as determination possessed them, preparing for the coming battle.
When the meeting adjourned, I teleported back to my lab and immediately began to order the production of Lembas pills. I wanted every soldier to have a bottle at their disposal for the upcoming fight.
Opening another portal, I stepped onto an island that no one but me even knew about. Its sole purpose served to grow the unique plant given to me so long ago. The entire island was overgrown with the plant.
My skin started vibrating before a clone stepped out and began to divide. I ordered it to begin harvesting and preparing the plants to make the pills pulling out large shallow baskets to collect and dry the leaves.
Creating another portal, I paid an overdue visit to my animal companions. Stepping into the large cavern. I smiled as a much larger Hebi slide out from the shadows.
"Master, are you here to check in on my shedding?" I ran my hand down the peal-white scales of the snake before looking behind her and spotting her discarded skin.
"Unfortunately, I am not though I do like your new look." Hebi flourished under my praise, "Is there something wrong? At this time of day, you are usually in your lab?"
"Evos has been captured by the World Government. He's going to be executed in three days." A loud hiss came from Hebi as she started to writhe in anger, "What do you need of me?"
I thought for a moment, "Right now, how high can you fly?" Hebi barely paused to think, "Two thousand feet at my top speed. But I could fly higher, but it would slow me down." I nodded, "What about your breath attack has that increase recently."
Hebi's tongue flicked out before she pointed her mouth downward. I watched as a line of light traveled up her throat before spewing out of her mouth in a single laser the size of a pinhead.
Immediately the temperature rose, and the cavern was turned into a furnace as the beam of light boiled the stone piercing straight through. Hebi looked back at me smugly, "I am confident that anything they might have, I can burn through."
I ran my hand down her scales on last time, "I'll trust your word, now it's about time we get you out of here." Hebi nodded before she started to push her head through the earth, tunneling up and revealing a collapsed tunnel.
Teleporting back to the surface, I watched as Hebi erupted from the ground spreading out her angelic wings to catch the air. Falling to the ground, I landed without a scratch, waving the dirt away from the crater I formed, created another portal, and stepped back into my lab as if I never left.
Already a new batch of pills sat out on the countertop and were being packaged into bottles. Moving over to one of the furnaces, I pulled out the tray as I could smell the drugs start to burn. Taking one, I snapped it in half to see the crumbled-up leaves inside, not even in their processed form.
"I need to see whoever made this batch." Everyone paused for a second before a man stepped forward carefully, "Y-yes, sir?" I tossed the broken pill at him, "Do it right or don't do it at all. If I hadn't caught this batch, someone might have died on the battlefield wonder why his trust was misplaced."
My hawk eyes pinned the man to the spot, "Now get to work all of you." My voice cracked like a whip, and everyone jumped back into action. I looked over the mass of people and realized when the battle came more than ten times their number would be dead.
