The world is getting smaller

SHIRO

Colorful lights.

The sound of rhythmic music playing in the background.

Alcohol and women.

This was almost close to the nightlife in Japan.

Except for the language, that is.

I leaned against the back of one of the cushioned seats in the corner.

I have heard that this place offers the best liquor mixes. I got curious.

Of course, that wasn't the only agenda I had in mind.

Rhythm.

The name itself rang in my mind.

I knew Rose wouldn't like what I was doing when she learned of it.

Yet, no matter what she says, the result of this visit would be beneficial for her.

I hated seeing how she was lately.

The sadness in her eyes was unbearable. If I could make it go away on my own, then this was no longer necessary.

Unfortunately, it wasn't me whom she needed.

Keeping my guard up, I let my gaze wander around. The place looked posh and heavily guarded.

That was not a surprise.
