Familiar Bond

Knee deep in dragon blood and spit and two feet from the beast's throat the last thing I expected was a parlay.  Sure, my sword split her tongue  down the middle, it hadn't stop her.  Long spines of my crimson cowl ripped into her open wound and kept it from healing, but she still pulled me back.  Blood spurted around me filling Dexca's mouth, my reclaimed boots, and my line of sight.  Dexca hadn't cared.

Razor sharp teeth surrounded my prison each as long as I was tall.  I assumed the blue ooze dripping from her teeth was venom.  One cut from those and I was dead.  Despite my many abilities poison resistance wasn't one of them.  I held no allusions that she couldn't flick her tongue to end me.
