If you are searching a The Boys fanfic you can go search elsewhere, it’s doing it’s own illogical pretty terrible thing while ignoring major components of the universe of the boys. Like in this fanfic the supes, called supers in this fanfic, because the author don’t give a ****, well the supes are hated, because reasons? Like The social commentary just goes out the window into the stratosphere, here the supes are hated, treated as misfits and persecuted, the absolute reverse of the boys where they are adored as those living gods, here all that is thrown away because we want the mc to feel as an outcast. Like seriously when she was revealed to be a supe, when she saved people her whole family lost their jobs, her friends don’t talk to her anymore, people hate her and made a petition to make her move out, that’s just horribly off for something in the universe of the boys, the absolute reverse should have happened. In this fanfic logic is yeeted out the window into space because more than supes being hated Vought is making anti supe gears, like bracelets that inhibits your super strenght and flight ability, glasses than inhibit your heat vision and shit, why would Vought ever do that? How could they even do that? The profit would be short term, eclipsed by the fact that their heroes would become useless and so their entire hero theme parks and movies and adds and events and merch would go to shit, so they would never do that. The explanation on how did Vought even developed this tech is pretty much magic, the bracelets that inhibits super strenght and flight works by making you 227kg/500 pounds heavier, by using gravity... First how? Second what? Third why would that even work? The female could sustain that fairly easily, and the mc have Homelander’s powers, so explain how is this going to do anything to her, the dude could lift a plane easily. The mc stated that she could lift a minivan, which btw weight 2 tons in average, and lifted a bus previously, so how the **** would 227kg even matter to her? How would this even inhibit her from flying? She should be able to go at least mach 1, so how is 227kg going to stop her form flying? The force necessary to push her to mach 1 shouldn’t be much affected by 227kg. Then the glasses straight up sounds like bs because that heat vision should be able to cut through tanks like butter, and it is said to be heat vision not laser vision. The characters feels like a void of anything worth remembering, like there is a feel behind them, it’s weirdly the same for everyone and they are all forgettable, like I had trouble remembering she had a mom, so yeah, the only feel I have of the mc is that overused girl outcast character that the cheerleaders don’t like you know? It’s also boring. I had to stop at chapter 3, yes all of that happened in three chapters, I had to go before the high school chapters, because the judge decided to put her into a supe high school, and I had to go before having to deal with high school superhero drama, especially since it’s fantasy romance, and I don’t want to read a bad Homelander Twilight fanfic with even more forgettable characters, increasing numbers of mistakes and inconsistencies with Mcaveragelonelyquirkygirlnumber999 as the mc.
