"The amount of mana you used to strengthen the stone was enough to shatter two trees, but it only shattered one." Zachary explained, "Mana can be used to increase the hardness of any objects, but normal stones aren't a good conductor of mana, so once it left your hand, the mana around it started to hurriedly dissipate. By the time it hit the tree, it has lost half the amount. Thus, it crumbled into fine dust after shattering the trunk of only one tree instead of two."

"So hardening will only show maximum efficiency on objects that are good mana conductors."

"Correct. Or you can just keep on hardening an object. Just like this." Zachary decided to demonstrate what he means.
