Namjoon was too excited and couldn't wait till tomorrow to tell Tae. He had to tell him now.
"Good, I thought it might get your attention. Can we meet for coffee?"
He closed his notebook, he couldn't believe that he was getting close to the case of Yumei Kazuma.
For the first time in seven years, he had hope, to finally lay this all to rest. He wondered if he could convince Tae about his theory that Yuki Dodjima was indeed Yumei.
He waited at his phone but it took Tae ten minutes to reply. "I can meet you at 15 minutes."
Namjoon typed quickly. "That is fine! Meet me at the coffee shop 'Cup of Java'."
"I'll be there."
Namjoon placed his phone down the adrenaline was pumping through his veins. "Yumei, I can't believe the day is finally here!"
He looked around his room, ' Now to get out of here.'
Jin and Hoseok had arrived at Kim Estate, the gates opened slowly. When they got out of the car the family stood like a welcoming committee and as they walked they bowed. "Welcome home Chairman."
Jin gave them a light nod and opened the doors to his estate. "Hoseok, get the servants to bring some tea."
Hoseok bowed and went to the kitchens, Jin walked down the hall to his office. It was time to execute his plan 'The Fall of the Kazumas'.
He was thinking to himself if he couldn't get Yumei to marry him then he will just have to end her existence. He opened the door and went to sit behind his desk. There was a knock on his door. "Enter."
Hoseok opened the door, "Tea will be ready in 5 minutes, sir."
Hoseok only called him master and sir at the estate and went they were around other people he called him on his given name.
Hoseok was the son of his father's right-hand man and after his father's death a year ago, Hoseok's father got into an accident.
"That is fine, so tell me Hobi. Why do you want to bring Unmei into our plans again?"
Hoseok sat in the chair in front of Jin. "She would be a great distraction to Yoongi."
"And pray do tell, why is that?"
Jin liked Hoseok a lot, he was always thorough in his research when it came to backgrounds of people. Heck after he became 'friends' with Namjoon seven years ago, Hoseok told him it was his cousin.
Hoseok grinned, nothing slipped past him that was why he was such a great ally because no one suspected that something lurked behind his sunshine personality. "Well, sir because Yoongi liked her."
Jin frowned, he was playing this because his brother had a crush on this girl when he was younger? This was ridicules to fathom. "What gives you the idea that he still-"
The office door opened and the servant brought their tea. She bowed and placed it on the table and left.
"Because that was his reason for leaving the family in the first place. If you remember your father wanted to marry him off to Yumei."
The gears in Jin's head started turning. "So that was his reason? Because he couldn't marry freely?"
Hoseok nodded and picked up his cup. "Yes, and if I remember Unmei is also enrolled in the University."
Wow, this was perfect! The lady of fate was definitely on his side. "And what does she study?"
Hoseok took a sip of his tea. "She is studying poetry and writing lyrics. So a composer, then?"
Jin placed his finger on his chin. "And Yoongi would be studying to become a pianist. That would mean they will be in the same classes?"
Hoseok nodded, "The best distraction to get on with our plans in the shadows."
Jin leaned back in his chair, 'This was brilliant!' But the only question now was how to get Unmei to help them, he opened his mouth but Hoseok interrupted him. "I already have men out to kidnap her little sister."
Jin widened his eyes at Hoseok. 'How did he think about all of these things?' He straightened himself. "Why not make it interesting and take the whole family?"
"That is even a better plan, sir."
Of course, he was still the head of this family. "Oh and get me, Kim Neu's telephone number."
It was Hoseok's turn to lift an eyebrow. "You want him to get Namjoon to stop looking?"
Jin nodded, "Yes. The good thing is that Namjoon doesn't know we are family and I would like it to stay that way."
Hoseok stood up, "Then a threat to his life?"
"Yes, and I am sure my uncle wouldn't want to get between Yakuza business."
Hoseok bowed. "I am on it, sir." He left the office and Jin leaned back in his chair again. What luck he has, he felt that the Aces had been given to him.
Hoseok returned a few minutes later with a telephone number and gave it to him. Jin entered it into his phone.
"Hello?"
"Good evening, is this Kim Neu?"
"Yes, this is he."
"I am phoning from the Kim family."
The line went completely quiet, you couldn't even hear the breathing. So he knew very well what this is.
"How did-"
"Mr Kim, I am Yakuza so it wasn't hard to find you."
"I have left the family, why are you calling me?"
So he had his full attention now. "I want you to have a talk with Namjoon, your son."
"My son?" His voice was quivering and Jin understood completely he didn't think they would find his family.
"Yes, your son is looking into Yakuza business."
"That is impossible, he knows nothing about the business!"
He was getting angry now? "Then tell him to stop looking for Yumei Kazuma."
The line went completely silent and after a few seconds. "How did he find out about her?"
"He met her seven years ago and she was snatched from his hand. So get him to stop looking or he will be met with an accident."
"I- I will get him to stop, please leave my family out of this."
"I won't touch a hair on his head if he stops."
"I promise he will."
"Good and Mr Kim. Have a good evening." Jin dropped the call and looked up at Hoseok. "We will see if he keeps his end of the bargain."
Hoseok smiled. "I highly doubt it, he is adamant to find her."
"Then we will just have to keep an eye on him, won't we?"
Namjoon opened his window and threw out the linen he knitted together, this was it he felt like a real detective.
He climbed out his window and tested that the linen would hold him. 'Perfect.' He descended downwards as quietly as he could when his feet touched the ground his phone vibrated.
"I am here, where are you?"
He took one last look at his house the lights were off. "I just got out of the house, I am on my way."
He pulled his hoodie over his face and walked to the coffee shop. 'Tae was going to freak out at this news.'
He got to the coffee shop, there were a lot of people and he pushed open the door. He looked around and saw Tae sitting at the back.
Tae looked up as he approached the table. "So what is this that couldn't wait until morning?"
Namjoon pulled the chair out and sat down, he grinned. "I knew this will be a good year on the Yumei Kazuma case."
Tae gave him a smile and waved a waiter over. "Do tell, I haven't seen you excited since; now I guess."
The waiter came over and took their order for two coffees. "Tae, my parents dropped a bombshell on me."
The waiter placed their coffee on the table. "Now I am intrigued what did they say?" Tae picked up his cup and took a sip.
"That we are part of the Yakuza family Kim."
Tae spits coffee in Namjoon's face. "You are what now?" He had to act surprised at this but he had known from the beginning that Namjoon was the cousin of Jin.
Namjoom wiped at his face with the back of his sleeve. "Yeah! And apparently, my father broke away from the family to give me a normal life."
"Well, that is understandable, " he took another sip of coffee, "Yakuza life is hard."
Namjoon picked up his cup. "Yeah, but my father said after what his brother did to the Kazuma's he broke all ties."
This piqued Tae's interests so it was confirmed that the Kims had something to do with Yunari's death. Well, he knew that all along but there was no evidence.
The Yakuza knew how to keep their business secret. Her autopsy said she was shot in a break-in gone wrong.
"Do you know what they did?"
Namjoom shook his head. "My father didn't want to say but he asked me to stop looking into this business."
"My guess is you are not going to?"
Namjoon sipped his coffee. "They made a threat on my life and that only states that I am close to something."
