Chapter 56

Jin didn't sleep at all yesterday evening. He was too excited, his plans were coming together but that meant he would be a zombie today.

Hoseok had driven them to the university, he wanted Yamato to come but Hoseok talked him out of it. Something to do with, to much explaining to do.

Hoseok stopped the car, "Are you ready?"

Jin gave him a nod. "As ready as I could be."

He was eager to hear what Namjoon came up with for their party. He climbed out of the car, it would have to wait till after their classes.

After his plans were through, he wasn't going to return to the university. He would be to busy ruling the biggest Yakuza family.

He smiled at the thought, Hoseok locked the car and blinked at him, "Something pleasing?"

Jin started walking, "You have no idea."

Hoseok kept one step behind Jin, he had a smile of his own. This was going to be the biggest blindside ever seen in the Yakuza family.

Tae blinked at Namjoon. "The university?"

Namjoon nodded enthusiastically, "It is public enough and there are security camera's everywhere."

Tae smiled, that was a good idea. So they have their venue now about the small details. "Alright, as you are saying... public and security cameras. An advantage."

"Exactly now for the smaller details. What are we going to do?"

Tae typed away at his keyboard. "I might have an idea about that... We still need to have our trap."

"Agreed, it has to be solid so that we can tell Jin and not give anything away."

Tae paused and looked at Namjoon. "We are going to do the masked ball."

Namjoon clicked his tongue. "We are not going to use Yumei as bait."

Tae sighed. "We would have to... She is the only ticket to capture them."

Namjoon folded his arms, "I have a question."

"Ask away."

Namjoon had to choose his words carefully or Tae might lose his temper. "I understand that all of this is to take down the Yakuza but... Goro is already dead so what justice is there left for Yunari?"

Tae blinked the words that Namjoon said ringing in his mind. It was true, they knew that Goro killed Yunari but it has never been proved.

So had the investigation shifted? Wait... Did the Sarge know? "I do not know how to answer your question..."

Namjoon let out a sigh, it was a question that nagged him since he learned most of the truths. His father was broken about how is brother turned out and the obsession that he had with Yumei's mom...

"So, it is about taking them down because of the cover-up? Or is this about Yumei?"

Tae licked his lips, he didn't know how to answer this. He suspected that it was about Yumei all long with the Yakuza being a side mission. "I think you are right that it is more about Yumei as the yakuza."

Namjoon felt his blood pressure rising, he was afraid for Yumei and now with this plan he and Tae were coming up with... It could put her in more danger than she already was in.

If Jin has the same obsession... He could turn out to be more dangerous than he was letting on. "I still think Yumei shouldn't be at the party."

"You know she is the key..."

Namjoon slammed his fist on the table, "I just can not do that..."

Tae leaned back in his chair. "Namjoon, if you cant separate your emotion from this... I would have to do this alone."

He understood where he was coming from but everything was revolving around her. Even if Namjoon chose to ignore it...

"I- I will try." That was all he could answer, his eyes shifted to the letter that he placed on the table. Her heart was in those words, he will save her.

Tae''s eyes followed in the same direction that Namjoon was looking. The letter... Tae sat back up straight, "Joonie, I just got the best idea."

Namjoon turned his gaze and met Tae's. "What?"

Tae smirked, "Jeoni-"

"No-"

Tae leaned closer to his computer but kept his eyes on Namjoon. "Listen before you shoot this down."

Namjoon didn't like where this was going and the last name he expected from Tae's lips were Jeoni. "Fine."

Namjoon leaned backwards in the chair. He wasn't keen to hear what Tae had come up with.

Tae smiled, "Good. Now because we are going to do a masked ball, no one would know who is who."

Namjoon nodded.

"So, we are going to get Jeoni and Yumei to dress up in the same costume."

Namjoon blinked at Tae's words, he wants them to what now? Was he insane? How were they going to pull that off? "And pray tell how are we going to do that?"

Tae folded his arms and leaned back in his chair again. "We will have to confirm how Yumei would be dressing up and them make Jeoni dress up like that."

Namjoon began chuckling. "Who will convince Jeoni? She is one shallow girl."What would they do if Yumei wanted to dress as a fairy?

"You will have to convince Jeoni, she will listen to you."

A shiver went down Namjoon's spine, only thinking about Jeoni and her voice made him cringe. "How are we going to determine the dress code?"

He changed the subject away from Jeoni. If they could-

"I am glad you asked, Joonie. I think we should make it a fairy tale mystery masked ball."

A fairy tale mystery masked ball? That was a brilliant idea but what are they going to do for fun? People would get bored with just drinking and food. "I like it, so what would our mystery be?"

Tae looked up at the ceiling, that was another good question. Who would have thought that planning could he so; exhausting.

There was a silence as both of them thought about this party. There were flaws and the biggest one was the theme they have picked.

How can you create a mystery party with fairytales? Namjoon parted his lips. "How are we going to pull this off and keep Yumei save and have a separate bait?"

Tae blinked at the ceiling, all of those were good questions but he didn't have answers, yet.

Yumei woke up at the sound of Yoongi's alarm clock. She tried to turn on her back but the boot kept her slightly in place.

Her right side was sore, she blinked a few times. She was sad that she wasn't going to university with him.

She would have liked to give Namjoon the letter herself but she didn't think that she would have been able to do it.

She didn't know how long she had been laying in bed when her door opened. "Mei-mei, are you up?"

"I am awake, Jimmi."

He opened her door wider with a tray in his hand. "I have brought you breakfast."

"You didn't have too..."

"But I wanted too." He walked to her bedside and placed the tray on her nightstand. "Do you want help to sit up?"

Yumei bit her lip and nodded. She didn't like to be so useless. Jimin gently placed his arm under her left side and pulled her up and so her back was against the pillows.

"Did you sleep alright?" He took the tray and placed it on her lap and sat down next to her.

There were pancakes with some berries and orange juice. She didn't think she was hungry until the smell of the pancakes filled her nose. "I slept alright thank you."

She picked up the fork and knife, she dug into her pancakes. She glanced up as she felt Jimin watching her, "Bid your mbake thbse?"

Jimin leaned forward. "You have never learned not to speak with your mouthful."

He was chuckling and Yumei lowers her face because her cheeks turned a shade of pink. "To answer your question, I did."

Yumei swallowed. "They are delicious."

His eyes turned soft, he wanted to see her smile because she was going to be stuck at home for the rest of the few weeks.

She was going to be bored. "What does the fairy princess want to do today?"

Yumei blinked as she cut off another piece of pancake. "Can we go out?"

Jimin shook his head. "Not today-"

"Why not?"

Jimin didn't want to bring her thoughts to her leg so he answered her, "I tell you what. Why don't we go the Yoongi today?"

He saw her eyes lit up, "Can we?"

Jimin grinned. "Yes, we can and who knows maybe you can see Namjoon."

Yumei's blush deepened, "Do not joke."

"I am not joking, Mei-mei."

Yumei didn't look at him and reached for her orange juice as Jimin's phone started ringing.

He took it out of his pocket and stared at the screen. 'Yoongi?'

He swiped to answer.

Yoon?"

"Jimin, I have news."

"You have?"

"I found out who is responsible for Yumei's leg."

"That is indeed good news, tell me." He turned away from Yumei and stood up from her bed to stand at the door.

"Jin and Hoseok had taken Unmei's family to force her to do their bidding."

"You are kidding?" Jin planned this? But the question on his lips. "Who is Unmei?"

"Unmei is my childhood friend from eight years ago and I-"

"You?" Jimin's voice turned into a surprise, did Yoongi love this girl?

"I have- Can I tell you her story later."

"Fine... Why are you calling then?" Jimin rolled his eyes. Getting information out of him was like talking to a wall.

"Because we need to save her family from Jin."

Jimin paused as Yoongi's words sunk in. Was he sure that they still had her family? "Are you sure?"

There was a pause and Jimin knew that Yoongi was sure that she wouldn't lie about something like this.

"Then I shall help you, Yoon. The question is... Where would they be?"

"In one of the Kim family's abandoned warehouses."

"I will make a few calls and then we can plan from there." This was going to be dangerous and he might have to call in a huge favour and he knew exactly who he was going to call.

"Thank you." His voice came as a whisper.

"Do not mention it, Yoon." Jimin ended the call and turned to Yumei.

She was looking at him with her big blue eyes. "Is Ooni alright?"
