Yoongi was sitting in his lit class not listening to a word the professor said. He wasn't going to continue this class anyway if Yumei would never be here.
He was more interested in the music classes, he felt his phone vibrate, luckily he was in the back seat. He slid his hand in his pocket and took it out.
He looked down at the screen the message was from Jimin.
"Yoon, my insider told me that they are releasing her parents tomorrow without Jin's knowledge. So I don't think you should tell Unmei yet. Just let her know that her family are safe."
He reread the message again, they were safe? That was great news and he couldn't wait to tell Unmei but what was troubling was that Jimin said he shouldn't tell her that they might come home.
She would have been ecstatic to the news but at least he would be able to tell her something. He quickly typed his reply.
"Thank you for letting me know, Jimin. I will give her the news that they were safe."
He pressed the sent button and hi gazed up to the clock, only 10 more minutes before he could leave. What struck him on what was odd, how did Jimin get the information so quickly?
He shrugged his shoulders and kept looking at the clock, his thoughts went back to Unmei. His heart was beating faster, never in his life had he thought that he would ever see her again.
The universe had placed her on his path again and he wanted to redeem himself. He wasn't going to let this slip between his fingers, he loved her more than she could know.
Since the day she broke through his angry exterior, that was the day he decided that he would marry her. He would love her to meet Yumei, he knew in his heart that they would become best friends.
The professor announced the end of class and he was brought back from his thoughts but one remained. How were they going to become friends if they were getting her away from this life?
He slung his bag over his shoulder, he needed to find Unmei and forget about these ominous thoughts. His heart was constricting... He was going to lose a best friend; again.
He left the class and walked to the cafeteria. He hoped that Unmei would be there, his heart didn't feel any lighter.
He entered the cafeteria and he smiled when his eyes fell on Unmei sitting in the corner with a notebook out and earphones in her ears.
He wedged his way through the tables and sat down in front of her, it took her a few moments before registering that he was sitting in front of her.
She blinked, "Yoongi?"
He grinned and motioned to her earphones. She took them off, "Unmei, I have good news to tell you."
Her heart stipped, did this have something to do with her family? "What do you have to tell me?"
He took her hand from across the table and gave it a light squeeze. "Your family is safe."
Her body relaxed and she let out a sigh, Yoongi reached out and caught a tear that fell from her left eye. "Are you alright?"
Unmei nodded at Yoongi. "I am more than alright. I am so happy to hear that my family is safe."
She gave Yoongi's hand a squeeze. "I didn't even know that, thank you Yoongi."
He smiled, he was happy to see her happy. He only hoped that the Kim family would keep their end of the bargain and free her family.
His thoughts returned to Jimin, how did he know? Did he have a spy in the family that he didn't know about? "Unmei, may I have your number?"
He wanted ger digits so that they can continue talking, it would be so much better than trying to find her in the sea of people.
Unmei smiled this was just perfect, she was happy that they have reunited and all these years she had never thought that her feelings didn't change towards him.
"Yoongi, I have a confession."
Yoongi's eyes widened, this was it. This was the moment he was going to find out if Unmei still had any feelings for him.
His heartbeat sped up, his palms became sweaty and he hoped that Unmei did not notice. "Ye-yes?"
Her smile widened at his expression, maybe she should tease him a little more. "I need someone to come and perform with me tomorrow at a local cafe."
Yoongi blinked, that wasn't the confession he was waiting for. "Su-"
He blinked Unmei was laughing now, her whole body shook. "I am kidding, what I wanted to say was- I have never stopped loving you too."
The sound in the cafeteria dimmed out, all that mattered was this moment with Unmei. The world had stopped for him, he brought her hand that he held close to his lips and kissed her fingers. "I- you have no idea how much those words mean to me."
A slight blush crept over her cheeks. "Make me a promise."
Yoongi's finger traced the tip of her hand. "I will promise you anything."
"Promise me that you will never leave again."
Yoongi blinked and looked into her eyes. "I promise that I will never leave you again."
Unmei nodded. "I am sorry for what I have done-"
Yoongi squeezed her hand again. "I understand why you did what you did. I will speak to Yuki."
Unmei averted her gaze, this had to be a dream. She was going to wake up soon and then Yoongi will be gone. "Tell her I am sorry."
"I will." He checked his watch, "Unmei I have to go but I will text you later."
Unmei let go of his hand. "I look forward to it."
Yoongi smiled and weaved through the tables, once again he forgot to get something to eat. But he was just so happy that everything was working out for him.
Bow all the wanted was everything to work out for Yumei. He made his way to the mystery club.
Namjoon spoke up. "We have a lot to tell you then."
Jin and Hoseok sat on the couch, Namjoon noticed that they were stiff.
Tae chimed in. "This is going to be the best party ever."
Jin didn't look at Tae his gaze fixed on Namjoon, Hoseok was looking around and his eyes fell on a book. "So Joonie tell me about your party."
Tae rolled his eyes and stared at the computer screen of course he wasn't part of this conversation.
Namjoon shivered slightly at Jin's tone. It sounded irritated but he went into an explanation of what they have planned.
He steered clear of all the little details involving Yumei and Jeoni. He and Tae still need to figure that out and get all of the parties on board of what they should do.
Jin grinned, "That sounds like an excellent party!"
Hoseok nodded but his eyes were still in the book, "It sounds like it is going to fun."
Namjoon clapped his hands together. "I am glad that you guys like it, we still have a few things to sort out."
Jin stood up and motioned for Hoseok to follow him. "Then we will leave you to it."
Jin had plans of his own to make, he already had a small plan forming of how he will get his hands on Yumei.
Hoseok stood up, "Joonie are you reading a new book?"
Jin turned to Hoseok, 'Why was that important?' Namjoon blinked and his gaze fell on the book. "I am, it is for class."
He wasn't sure why Hoseok was asking him but he had to remain calm as to not give anything away.
Hoseok smiled. "Can I see it?"
Namjoon felt sweat forming on his brow, he walked to the table and lifted the book he then gave it to Hoseok.
Hoseok studied the cover and slipped something inside so the others didn't notice and handed it back to Namjoon. "Alice in wonderland, interesting."
Jin cleared his throat. "We have practice."
Jin and Hoseok left, Namjoon and Tae with puzzled looks on their faces. Tae parted his lips. "What was that all about?"
Namjoon turned to Tae. "I have no clue."
Namjoon looked down at the book, there was nothing strange about it and placed it back on the table. Yoongi should be coming for it soon.
They had new things to think about, their trap for Jin and using Jeoni as bait while keeping Yumei safe.
