Chapter 22 (editing)
I woke up the next day feeling a bit homesick mixed with anxiety. I was super excited about getting started with my training but I couldn't help but feel uneasy.
I don't know where I am in my pregnancy and it's important for me to know so I don't overwork myself, and so I decided to call up zander so his doctor could give me a check-up without alerting anyone.
Lost in thoughts a wave of dizziness mixed with nausea forcefully came at me, which got me running to the bathroom. Bending in front of the toilet bowl I began throwing up the meal I had last night.
After emptying my stomach I made my way over to the basin and rinse my mouth out with some water. Ugh!!
"Israel is me, Claire! I was instructed to come to get you ready for the day."
I'm in here!
"Oh My Holy God! What is that smell?" She asked placing her hand over her nose while backing out of the bathroom.
That could be the smell of puke. I informed her while flushing the toilet then entered back inside my room where Claire is now standing with a questioning look on her face.
"You looked a little pale, are you okay? I'll have to inform the king" She asked standing before me while checking my temperature with the back of her hand.
No! I'm fine no need to trouble the king. I think it's just something I ate last night. I lied through my teeth.
"Okay but if you still not feeling well let me know so we can get you a doctor."
I will, so why are you here again? I asked while taking a seat on the bed.
"I'm your maid and I'm here to get you ready for today."
Ready for what? As far as I can see I can dress myself no offense Claire it's just a little irritating and all.
"None took I assured you, and you will be meeting the rest of the councilors, high ranking males and females, and also I supposed the king and queen alongside their son from the elf kingdom."
Ugh! I don't think I can, I'm going to be super busy my day is already planned, can we postpone it for another day?
"You will have to take it up with the king."
Great just great! I flopped down on the bed backward with a deep sigh.
"He's not bad to talk with." Claire tried to reassure me but it so wasn't working.
Claire, I'm the princess, his lost daughter he won't take no for an answer he expects so much from me. I reasoned.
"I'm sorry I which I could help."
You can help me by picking out something comfy for me to wear while I take a shower then accompanied me to the king chambers.
"Yes, I will."
Smiling at her I strolled over to the bathroom feeling a bit light-headed, closing the door behind me I rest my body on the counter to support my weight. Claire?
"Yes, my princess."
Could you hand me my phone, please? But she didn't answer instead there was a knock on the door, slowly I walked over and opened up and there she stands in front of the door with the phone in her hold.
Taking hold of the phone I thanked her and close the door, as I unlocked the screen I hit the call icon and press send to zander number. As it rang I turned the shower on so Claire won't able to hear my conversation.
Soon as he answered the call I began; zander hi, I think there might be a problem I haven't feeling well and the king requested my presence in meeting some of his trusted men and the royal family of the elf kingdom.
"Where are you?"
In the bathroom, I'm supposed to be meeting the king to declined his request.
"Stay in your room at all cost I'll be there to come to get you."
Okay. Then I ended the call, placing my phone down on the counter I removed my clothes and stepped over into the shower. As I wash my body my hand gently caressed my now growing bump with a smile sprawled out on my lips something great happened.
My baby kicked for the first time!! Feeling overjoyed tears of joy prickled from the corner of my eyes.
"Israel! you've been in there for a while now, are you okay?!"
Yeah, I'm okay I'll be out in a second. Taking a hold of my bathrobe I put it on, wrapped my wether in a small towel, grabbed my phone, and entered back into my room.
"You have me a fright, come sit and picked out your outfit for the day so I can get started on your hair."
Ugh! There all dresses.
"I Know but as a princess, you are required to be dressed in dresses."
I'm not wearing any of these. I said stubbornly.
"But you're going to meet the king."
Still not wearing a dress, is there any jeans in the closet? Never mind I'll just look myself.
Walking over to the closet I saw jeans which I immediately settled on a pair of black jeans with ripped at the knee area and a gray shirt. removing my robe I hurriedly get dressed.
"The king won't approve," Claire said when I entered back into the room.
Removing the towel from my damped hair I began catching it in a high ponytail. Then a knock came from the door startling both Claire and me.
"I'll get it," Claire said as she began walking to the door.
"Lord Zander." She greeted with a curtsy while opening the door wider so he could enter the room.
"Claire." Zander acknowledged with a nod. I'll take over for you so you can assist the other maids in the kitchen.
I watched as claire nodded at him and exited the room.
"No need to see the king, we will just go straight to my place."
But he requested for me?
"I already took care of that."
How?
"I told him you have received a vision that destiny is near, and I'm helping you in your training."
And he didn't question you?
"No."
Oh, great cause I'm supposed to start training with Sabine.
"Okay but first let's get you back to my place."
Arriving at zander mansion I was met with a doctor by his front door, we exchanged greetings then she led us to the infirmary.
Walking inside she told me to lay on the bed over at the corner she'll be with me in a minute, I make my way over as she instructed as I lay down soon after she came over with a clipboard in her hands.
After laying there for merely an hour with her working her magic and writing down on her clipboard she was finally finished.
"So princess Israel your 4 months pregnant, everything is in good shape but you need to rest and stress is not healthy for you nor the baby ." She beamed cheerfully.
Thank you, doctor, so when can I find out the sex of the baby?
"I'm not sure the child is blocking my power's their hiding themself but what I can tell you is this child is beyond powerful, you'll have people who will kill to have this baby."
And that was the last thing I heard before my world turned dark.
