The handsome boy opened his mouth to speak...
"Tch. Do you even realize how heavy you are? I think my back's broken, owwww."
These words left his mouth.
In addition to that, they also became the gravest sin he's ever committed and he will regret it for the rest of his life....
*5 minutes later*
"PITY ME! HAVE MERCY ON THIS SOUL MY LORD! I HAVE COMMITTED A GRAVE SIN! SAVE ME FROM THIS DEMON!"
the boy screamed with all his might. His once formal clothes now looked like that of a child from the slums and his once beautiful face was covered with tears (it certainly did not look....handsome)
Sitting on top of the boy was a girl who many of you might have mistaken for a demon.
She looked at the boy with her cold eyes which peculiarly can burn ones' soul. (Not literally but it really feels like it)
"You called me heavy? what else do you expect of a cockroach when someone steps on it. Crushed. With one step. Dead." (Estacia)
"I'm not a cockroach!" The boy cried. (In both the ways)
"My! My name is Haildmil! Now please get off of me!" whined Haildmil.
"Haildmil." Estacia gasped and quickly got down from the boy.
"You can't be Haildmil! That guy was like...a million years old!"
Haildmil. His full name was Haildaniard Millainean Foreste. The keeper of the Millainean flower that has the key to all secrets. However, the door to that key must only be found by the person who would be able to retrieve that flower.
Estacia pondered on that thought a little while. The hidden flower that Delmion talked about. It must be the Millaineal flower. The flower given to Haildaniard by Ziphiona.
'No. It can't be. The way the keeper was described...' Estacia glanced at the boy who was currently busy fixing his clothing.
She tried to recall the context written in the ancient history book.
'The keeper of the Millainean flower. A man trustworthy enough to be gifted by the guardian herself.
His distinguished looks were those which not all humans can be born with.
His first name, 'Hail' perfectly complemented his eyes that held the colour of the misty hail clouds.
While his name, 'Daniard', highlighted his bright golden hair which looked like the blooming Doffodils in a beautiful field.
As for his personality. It was widely described by the other name of the Daffodils which is 'Narcissus'.
One could never argue about the fact that he was too fond of himself and had a habit of complementing himself quite often.
However, despite his personality, he was a loyal and honest man.'
She thought again. The boy's looks completely went in harmony with the one that was described in the context.
However, loyal? She look at him again. Then shook her head.
'I can't let my bad impression effect my thoughts. There is no doubt that this is the same man but...'
"He is just a boy."
Estacia revealed her thoughts out loud which unconsciously grabbed the attention of Haildmil.
"Jeez. What do you expect from me then?" (Haildmil)
"I don't know actually. Maybe...an obscene old man with wrinkles all over his face and a stick. Should I mention the bald head with a little white hair?" Estacia said these words with a frivolous manner.
Haildmil, who was now currently baffled, looked at her with an incredulous look.
"Just how could you say such a cruel thing to a handsome man like me? And white hair? Haven't you read how bright and soft my hair is! Or did that guy wrote what I told him wrong." Haildmil covered his chin with his hand and disappeared in his thoughts.
'Alright. This guy is definitely Haildmil. Such a narcissist.'
Estacia had purposely revealed how she truly thought the great keeper would look like in an attempt to confirm whether this boy really was Haildmil. Judging by his reaction, there was no doubt that this boy was certainly the one and only keeper of the Millainean flower.
While Estacia was lost in her thoughts, Haildmil looked at her with an observing look and smirked.
Suprisingly, the smile didn't hold any contempt, rather, it was more like a smile of someone who thinks that the other person has not changed. A smile that looked as if he had known Estacia for the longest time possible.
(a/n: I accidently typed 'Sasageyo' while listening to a certain opening. Now that's up to you to decide what it means. Sorry if you don't understand what I'm talking about. I...ok I'm just wasting time with this thing, let's continue with the chapter.)
Estacia noticed the stare and looked at him.
"What is it? Creepy old man disguised as a kid."
Haildmil pouted with an adorable look then chuckled. Slowly, he moved closer to Estacia.
Estacia on the other hand was at a loss at what to do.
"W-what are you doing!" She raised her voice at the approaching boy.
The boy just kept smiling then stopped walking.
Their faces were barely inches away.
"My lovely lady, you may have come all this way for something. However, you never mentioned what it was." Haildmil spoke in a low tone. A tone that would naturally attract any woman towards him but Estacia was an exception.
She had forgotten what she had come for. The hidden flower. However, Delmion was the one who was in need of it. Not her.
"It isn't me who wished to come here. A friend of mine was in need of the hidden flower which I believe is actually the Millainean flower. I don't even know what he wants to achieve from it."
"I see you still haven't changed. As honest as you can ever be." Haildmil said this with a soft voice which failed to reach Estacia's ears.
It was almost as if he had intended on not letting her hear it.
"You do realize that only one person can be capable of attaining the flower right?" (Haildmil)
"I know. And it is him who is in need of it. I could see how desperate he was to have that flower." Estacia replied while fetching for the memory of Delmion who was standing in the moonlight. She remembered how lonely he looked.
She could feel that it was a deep feeling. The way he said 'my precious'. As if he was anxious. Like he had lost a part of him.
"I'm willing to do all I can to help him." Yes. She was willing to do all of it.
After all.
It didn't feel right to see someone look so lonely and alone...
just like her.
"So please Haildmil. Please bring my friend here as well."
"You can call me Hail you know. You're really quite special. Especially those eyes of yours."
Hail warmly looked at Estacia.
"Are you mocking me because of my eyes? I am aware of how ugly they look." Estacia said almost quietly.
That's when Hail's eyes turned cold.
"Ugly? Do you even realize how special they are? Are you looking down at yourself right now?" Hail let out a frustrated voice. Almost as if he was ready to slay all those who had mocked Estacia.
"Why are you worrying so much about it." Estacia avoided his gaze.
She was afraid. Afraid of the warmth she saw in his eyes. Afraid, that this warmth will just turn out to be a dream.
Hail sighed, "It's nothing. I'll give you the key to the Millainean flower."
'He changed the subject.'
Estacia quickly realized the situation. Neverthless, she didn't question him more and held out her hand.
Hail slowly extended his hand over Estacia.
A bright light enveloped his hand and was going to reach Estacia's.
The particles from the light almost touched Estacia's palm.
"Wait!"
Delmion's voice was heard.
An arrow past through the light that almost intertwined the two's hand.
Estacia. bewildered by what had just happened looked at the direction of the boy with the marine hair.
Delmion was sweating almost as if he had ran here.
"You cheeky bastard! You were going to give her the power weren't you!"
He shouted at Hail.
Hail, unfazed by what he just did, smirked at Delmion amusingly.
'Looks like it will quite a hassle to give it to her now.'
Well. We'll see about that.
The smirk on his face just got wider.
