I walked back to my room to see her lifeless body with the mask that was helping her breath over her nose. What I saw in her journal and Levi’s words hit me so hard. I wanted to get close to her but I was scared she would wake up and see me. 
I didn’t deserve to be close to her after all I’ve done yet I couldn’t stay away from her. 
I went to the bed and feel on my knees, the tears in my eyes had made my vision blur so I blinked to let them flow freely. 
“I’m sorry Elisa,” I mumbled, my eyes on her burnt hand….the same hand I burnt. Looking at it brought all the memories back and I fucking hated myself. I hated myself for everything I had put her through and I just wanted to put a gun to my head and pull the trigger.

"S-Sister?" I stammered in shock, my gaze locked onto my doppelganger, who happened to be my twin sister. The realization was almost too much to bear. How was it possible that I had a sister? My parents had never mentioned anything about a sister.

"Yes, sister, a twin to be exact," Nikolai confirmed.

"Twin?" both Eli-Andrea and I asked in unison, still in shock, our eyes fixed on each other. Our faces were eerily identical, except for a beauty spot beneath her eye that I didn't have. We shared the same eye colour, hair, and more.

"Yes, twin," Nikolai continued. "Mom and Dad never told us about this, but Elisa was taken from us as a baby. I'm as surprised as you that Jake and Kelsey didn't mention her since they knew about it."

Tears welled up in my eyes, and I turned to Nikolai with a quivering voice. "Is this why you've been distant lately?"
