Chapter seventeen part two
Evidence
Getting accepted and given a place into the residential college was only the first step, now I needed to gather and write up evidence that no other college would meet my needs and that the residential college was the right option; this wasn't going to be easy.
I basically had to write down what I liked about the residential college and why other colleges weren't suitable and wouldn't meet my needs; in the end, I ended up getting help from a lady who worked as a social worker.
She advised me to write all the good things first and then write the bad; start with the good things as that's what the funding panel will want to see.
No one thought I'd get the funding but after A LOT of effort, I got in. It was a tough time and a tough battle!
