Chapter 2 Grasp victory

Chapter 2: Grasp Victory

The fight commenced. The two experienced fighters circled each other. One step, two steps, three. Hirokoshi looked for weakness in the stance of his pupil, and saw that his pupil had his guard open at the bottom. This would look like the perfect target for someone who didn't know Gao, but Hirokoshi saw through it immediately. His student's arm was tense, getting ready for a counter grab. Since Horikoshi only had one arm at his disposal, such a move could seal the fight.

Knowing this, the sensei went for the attack anyway.

Gao inwardly chuckled. "You've lost your touch sensei!1"

At the last moment, Hirokoshi smiled radiantly, and Gao noticed too late that he had been dubbed for a fool

Hirokoshi went from a sword-like uppercut to a vicious roundhouse kick to the side. Gao recoiled in pain, but remembering his resistance training, he tensed his core then from his tilted position, let out a flurry of kicks.

Hirokoshi predicted such attacks from his top pupil, and thus was able to block each and everyone.

Gao needed to be creative. Something random.Something like, RANDOMLY DROPPING TO THE FLOOR, DOING A LOW KICK, THEN USING RESONANCE TO BOOST HIS ARM, MAKE HIM SOAR INTO THE HEAVENS, THEN DEAL A COLOSSAL BLOW TO THE SHOULDER OF THE TIED BACK ARM!That was the plan he settled on. But to do that he needed speed, surprise, and he needed to weaken his opponent first, because there was no way that his sensei wouldn't just step out the way of the Colossal Blow, unleshes physically couldn't.

Hirokoshi, seeing that his student was deep in thought, decided that now was a great time to strike.

Hirokoshi charged resonance into his legs, increasing his speed tenfold. Gao blinked, and Hirokoshi's fist was right in front of his face. The impact blew Gao's Head back like a pendulum. For a moment all went black. But then his eyes lit up, and a fire lit up inside him. It was time. He charged his blood stream with resonance, adrenaline rushed through him.

Using the force from the sensei's attack, he fell backwards, giving his master a false sense of security. But then, when his palms hit the floor, he twisted, and struck the master's legs.Even though he didn't topple, Hirokoshi had taken a major blow. His stance weakened.

Gao then commenced the next stage. Using his arms, and a kick from his legs, he flew into the sky.

Hirokoshi knew Gao loved his flashy moves, and thus faked injury from Gao's attack to give Gao the courage he needed to make his next move. So in Gao's ascent, Hirokoshi started to prepare himself

From up high, Gao still perceived his master to be in a weakened state. So out he positioned his leg, aiming for his chest. When he was a metre away, his master lashed out with his hand, grabbing his leg, throwing it up, positioning Gao's back to face him, and lashed out with a ferocious kick.

Gao grunted in pain. How foolish he was to underestimate his master just because he was limited to one arm. But if there was one thing he was good at, it was persistence. He front-flipped in mid air flooding his legs with strength to withstand the strong impact.

CRASH. He hit the floor. His muscles were on fire.

Gao was obviously severely weakened. Hirokoshi could see it in his eyes, his demeanor, his stance. That switch from being in complete control to losing it all in a second must have also mentally enervated him.

However, giving up wasn't an option.. He wasn't going to make the same mistake as his student. If he was gonna finish him, he was going to finish him hard. Thoroughly incapacitated. He may be his number one student, but this would train him for things to come. If he could pass.

Gao adrenaline shot-up. They say the closer you are to defeat, if you truly want victory, you will grab it with your own hands. And Gao longed for victory. Forwards he dashed, straight towards his opponent.

This was unexpected, but expected at the same time.

Gao tensed every part of his body, all of his strength rushed to his fist. Everything became clear, all his limbs at his beck and call.

He ran on a different wavelength.

Everything was clear. He saw that Hirokoshi's defense was imperfect because he was without the use of one of his arms. He saw where, and how he was meant to relentlessly attack. Time moved like a snail, he perceived everything.

Hirokoshi saw the eyes of Gao light up like a metal in the heart of the earth, purified seven times

Hirokoshi shifted his stance in anticipation.

It was time to use ENDLESS SWORD STRIKE

(He obviously didn't shout that, that's a waste of energy.)

Hirokoshi viciously struck Gao with a nigh-insane amount of strikes. Causing immense pain, attacking with perfect accuracy.

But through Gao pushed, relentless as the sun on a hot day, nothing distracted him from his target, Sensei's left shoulder.

Bang, Gao released a deadly kick to his master's shoulder. But his master, ever fluent in the way of the moving and using of an opponent's strength, used the energy from Gao's punch, shifted it to his right fist, and dealt a devastating punch.

But Gao might as well have been a machine. Even after that devastating blow, even with blood running down his face, he struck his sensei's leg with all the strength he had left. The master began to fall.

Pain and tiredness swallowed him,and his eyes began to close.
