Havoc’s day out

Havoc stood on top of a tall skyscraper, looking out across the cityscape. He inhaled a large breath of air, before his eyes glinted red, as he rushed towards the ground.

Just as he was about to hit the ground, the ground rose up towards him and swallowed him whole. He held his breath as he traveled downwards in a pocket created in the earth. After a few moments, a metal wall started to appear in front of him. He waved his hand and it ruptured open in front of him. He landed, dust rolling off his clothes in furious waves, his face contorted in a quiet rage.

He started walking down the corridor, his blood's temperature boiling more and more as time went on. Men and Women stood at either side of the corridor, and put their hands to their hearts as he came by. All of their faces only showed their eyes.

The door opened, to view people walking around a table, holograms projected from the center, a blue and green accent lighting up the room. One turned to Havoc immediately, and walked to him as fast as possible. He bowed, before saying, "What do you need, Good Sir?"

Havoc threw a vial of liquid towards the man. A slight aura surrounded the vial, as he stopped it mid air, and brought it towards himself.

He turned around and placed it into a small opening in the black wall. A screen soon appeared near him, as he scrolled his fingers downwards, absorbing information.

"No one immediately found Sir. However, there does seem to be some connection to the twelve. Perhaps one of Hussein's offspring. Has part of the genetic pattern. Found in his family but its not certai.."

Havoc immediately disappeared from the spot he was in. The man bowed towards the spot Havoc once was.

"Of all people, Hussein. Is he still wary of us after the fall over ten years ago."

Havoc walked the street, lost in thought. After walking for a time long enough for him not to know how long it was, he heard an outcry.

He turned, as he saw, a man and a young girl through the window. The man mouthed the phrase "I'll be back," with a clear furious rage enveloping him. The girl sobbed and hid herself in the cupboard.

Havoc thought for a second before appearing in the room, and slowly cracking open the cupboard door.

"Are you sure you'll be able to pay?" The attendant asked.

Havoc flipped a coin twice. A projection appeared from the centre of the coin, showing.... A number with a lot of Zero's.

The attendant's mouth widened as he immediately cried "Come in sir!"

"Choose whatever you want kiddo."

The girl looked at the list and slowly pointed towards the cheapest item on the list.

Havoc blinked and grimaced.

"Don't worry, I'll order for you. Any dietary requirements…. Things you can't eat?"

The girl shook her head.

Havoc tapped his finger across the menu. Soon, a timer appeared on the table.

As time ticked down, Havoc looked towards the child, and quietly whispered "What's your name child?"

The girl spelt it out with her finger. Havoc blinked, conf used at her actions. Seeing his seemingly "displeased" face, she quickly mumbled "Ari."

"Why didn't you say so first?"

Ari replied by looking down.

"You're allowed to speak freely around me, you know?"

Ari nodded her head.

Food slid onto the table. Havoc grabbed a singular plate, before shoving all the rest towards Ari.

"Dig in." Havoc exclaimed, gesturing towards the rest of the plates.

Ari looked up at Havoc, before staring blankly at the food. She started to grab the food with her hands.

Havoc opened his mouth to reprimand her regarding the manners she was displaying, but stopped himself from doing so.

Taking some food in a takeaway bag, Havoc grabbed Ari by the hand and walked back to the house in which he had found her. Ari's shivers intensified more and more as they got closer and closer, and looked up towards Havoc. When they stopped at the door, Havoc patted her head, as he knocked on the door.

After a few moments, the door creaked open. A man's face appeared. Disgruntled, without joy, and filled with a fury bubbling just under the surface, easy to see. He looked the visitor up and down, only to see Ari cowering behind his leg.

The visitor opened his mouth and asked "Would it be alright for me to take care of her?"

The man paused, at first taken aback by this statement that caught him completely off guard. Then, anger swelled inside of him, nearly to the point of violently bursting. Then, he stopped once again. He looked the man up and down once again, and sighed.

"Good riddance," he muttered ,"Just a money sinkhole anyway."

As he started to shut the door, Havoc took in the environment surrounding this man. His eyes rested on a singular photo. 3 smiles were made clear in the photo. Ari's, the man facing him, and a woman he hadn't seen before.

Once the door shut, Havoc waited for a moment, before clicking his fingers. A note appears, seemingly slid underneath the door.

"I'll make sure to give you updates on her health/well-being each month. If you ever want to see her in person, come to the dual flame insurance company. Simply say her name to the receptionist."

After re-reading it multiple times, the man sat down, and tears started to flow down his face. Yet, a smile slowly appeared on his face.

Ari was still shivering, curled up in a ball, clutching her knees. Havoc patted her head once more, then picked her up, and put her on his shoulders.

Arriving at the dual flame guild, Ari sleeping in his arms, Havoc encountered the "Receptionist".

Amelia looked him up and down and smiled to herself. No sign of any fierce battles, or any death. She peeked at the child in his arms, and asked, "Where'd you get the kid from Kai?"

Kai handed Ari over to Amelia. "Ari. Keep her well when I'm busy alright? Got some calls to make."

Kai walked into the elevator, a flame enveloping his heart.

Amelia sighed in pain.
