The first day

A cold splash on his face, with that same feeling creeping across his whole body.

"GOOD MORNING, GOOD MORNING TO YOU ALL. Bunking here in the games room didn't help you escape your fate. How sad. Now stand up, before I make you." Lucaria said, a great grin consuming all her other facial features, apart from her piercing blue-red eyes.

After a few moments of patience, Lucaria shook her head, and shouted just as fiercely as before, but this time, the room shook, and all 5 of the room's inhabitants cried aloud in pain.

"All of you, as a group, have been defeated by Kiai attacks, and are clearly susceptible to them. So, I'm gonna scream at you more times than you can count to increase your feeble resistance. ENJOY!"

The cries grew ever louder.

Roshi breathed a deep breath in. After finishing running at full speed for one hour straight, Roshi lacked any energy at all, barely able to stand in the midst of his comrades. A pained smile covered his face, as did the same expression cover the others.

Lucaria paced back and forth, with Natasha sitting cross legged in a corner, eating a large heap of rice covered in curry(possibly placed there to inspire more suffering in the trainees) while Greta sat in another corner, looking at a deconstructed modular weapon, which seemed to have some interesting orbs surrounding it, with a "don't throw" warning plastered on its side, with an eccentric smiley face beside it. Roshi noted that it would be a good idea to stay away from Greta, especially if she became enraged.

"IN THE NEXT THREE DAYS, ALL OF YOU SHALL TRANSFORM. THE OLD THINGS WILL PASS AWAY, AND YOU SHALL BE FORMED ANEW! BUT TO DO THAT, YOU WILL NEED TO GIVE ALL YOU HAVE AND MORE. ARE YOU READY?"

A murmur of agreement filled the room.

"I SAID, ARE, YOU, READY?!"

The murmur grew slightly louder.

"If you don't shout at the top of your lungs, with all your inmost being, your inmost being might just turn to your outside. So I ask again, ``ARE YOU READY?"

"YEAH!" They screamed, trying with all their hearts and souls to match Lucaria's enthusiasm.

"Then follow me." Lucaria said, as she stretched to the left and the right. After that she turned to exit the training hall, and started to walk towards it.

"Also, anyone who loses sight of me will have to do a 45 minute wall sit. With one of Natasha's explosions underneath them."

With that Lucaria sprinted down the corridor, with the 8 trainees under her dashing in her wake.

An hour later, the 8 returned, clearly downcast. Lucaria strided into the room, and pointed towards the training hall's left hand wall, which had 8 orbs lined up side by side, with an eccentric smiley face vibrant on their dark encasing.

Lucaria clapped her hands together, gestured first towards the wall then t and exclaimed "Begin."

Hesitation and tiredness caused them not to move.

"Last one to begin will do it for twice as long."

All of the 8 tired trainees widened their eyes, looked at each other with regret in each and every eye, before moving at great speed towards each of their places.

"You alright over there Roshi? You seem like you'll fall down any second." Gao quipped.

"Compared to me, you might as well be a leaf in the wind." Roshi replied.

"Talking this much will only lead to your own hilarious demise, won't it Roshi?" Yue stated.

"Didn't you say more words than me?"

"Nit picker."

"Just helping you stay on the straight and narrow. Hopefully we can be as great as Vadik one day, sacrificing ourselves for the sake of our fellows, just as he did today."

"How nice of you to honour me so. But when I get out of this wall sit, my fists will.."

"Quiet yourselves. I'm trying to focus." Greta shouted

Again, and again and again, Lucaria made them run with everything they had, for 24 hours, run, wall sit, run wall sit. The initial showings of resistance and defiance soon dissipated, leaving only repetition, over and over and over.

It was an extremely enjoyable day. For Lucaria.
