Chapter 3 - Battles in the new beyond
As Brian began to take his first steps on his journey to the village Mr Screen appeared.
He looked around confused and readied his new weapon and there he saw... Nothing.
"It's either invisible or underground"
A wolf jumped out of the forest
It growled and paced then stopped after a couple of steps...
Brian checked his stats again.

The wolf barked and lunged but Brian managed to dodge out of the way and stab the wolf with his spear. The wolf dies on impact.
He looked at the dead wolf. "Wasn't that too easy?"
He heard a noise behind him.
He turned around to face where the sound came from. A large slime moved forward and a strange gurgling sound came from it.
He began to laugh but then stopped.
(I'm not gonna underestimate a slime)
He places his hand on his shirt. "Enchant Recovery"
"Hmm nothing happened" He backs away from the slime and grabs hold of the spear. (Maybe this will work)
"Enchant Self Recovery!" "Enchant Self Improvement!"
He then realizes that his shirt is no longer damaged.
(At least I can keep the shirt I guess)
The slime wiggles closer.
He glows for a moment, and then stops.
The spear then glowed and changed.
The slime was almost on top of him so Bryan stabbed at it hoping to shock it(please work).
(All this stuff better be good later on)
The spear pierced the slime and... went straight into it. It was now hovering in the slime's body, slowing turning in the semi solid creature.It made a weird gurgling noise.
Bryan looked completely shocked as he tried to pull the spear out of it.
(I wasted so much energy on it!! I cant lose it now!!)
He grabbed hold onto the small nub that was exposed, but ultimately his hand started to get really close to the slime and the spear was going further in.
He scanned the slime for a weakness or anything that stood out.
It seems pretty big... liquidy... It seems to have eyes on the top if it however, so there are some signs of life. No brain or other organs however.
(Its nothing like in videogames!! Where the hell is the weak spot? The core thing. I might need a blunt weapon or something).
He started to back away but it noticed the movement and began to follow.He glares at the slime and stares at the spear as he keeps backing away.
(This is bad my weapon is gone and this thing doesn't seem to be like a normal slime.)
He went over to the wolf. (Maybe some reinforcements?)
He picked up a rock and shouted "Enchant Necrotic Revival!"
(This is such a risk)
He looked once more at where the spear still sat rotating slowly.
(But I need that spear back !!)
Channeling what seemed to be a large amount of energy, Brian released his energy and saw a message.
The energy had gone into what he was holding. A random stone.(That's more energy wasted)
While glaring at the slime, Brian noticed that the spear had done a complete 180. Making it so that its spear head wass pointing directly at him.
(Well that's o- Wha!!)
With a loud shunk the spear was shot out from the slime towards Brian at an extreme speed.
(Oh crap)
He holds out the rock "Enchant Fusion Energized Stone Spear!"
The spear barely missed Brian's neck, causing a small slash to be formed on the arm he used to grab a rock. The spear was now stuck in a tree and the slime was on the move again.
He touched his shoes "Enchant Soundless"
(I don't think this thing can actually see me)
(If it's like a bat maybe I can defeat it....eventually)
The energy goes over the shoes and with a small amount of power, changed the shoes slightly.
He snuck over to the dead wolf.He decided to use analysis on it.
Bryan placed the energized stone into the wolf's throat.
"Enchant Necrotic"
<0 Energy remaining>
"...."
"Well that sucks"
slosh!! slosh!! slosh!!
He turned to the slime and slashes at it.But...
He realized that he didn't grab the spear even though he meant to.
(I'm an idiot)
He sprinted towards where the spear was.
As the spear came out from him pulling on it, the tree it was in collapsed, falling directly onto the slime. A loud splat rang through the forest as the beast... died.
He blinked and looked completely confused.
"Well that was...convenient"
The slime was splat across tons of trees and grass, and there was still a little bit on his weapon.
(I kinda figured I needed a smashing weapon but a tree works too)
He recollected his energized rock and continues his walk to the village.
He managed to enter the town outside of the forest of the lost, with our any more hiccups.
He made it!
"Wow! This is nice...Now to convince these idiots that I have no memory"
He staggered into the village holding his head with his left hand and his spear in his right using it to appear to steady himself.
(Mr screen how much energy do I have right now)
(Perfect hehe hehe)

Meanwhile...
A goblin was rushing toward Darren.He tried to deliver a swift kick to its head but it used the stick to block so it would take less damage.
"Gabatsiyah"
"Ow! What the hell?!" (Am I that weak?) He jumped back and looked at his tab again

The goblin took advantage of him being distracted and stabbed at his foot with the broken stick.

"Ow! Grrr, Add 3 points to Power!"

He swung at the goblin and saw that it got knocked back and has a bruised eye.
"Gaba!" It shouted as it lunged at him.
"That worked... Oh, oh no!" he kicked it in the stomach and keeled over and groaned.He grabbed the stick as the goblin was falling.
" Hah! Who's the weakling now?"
He aimed the stick at it,still slightly scared. It looked up in defiance and said
"Foog loo!!"
It glanced at the entrance and then back towards him and rushed to block his path. Darren noticed his companion was stumbling around in the background.
( Still? Jeez, was I always this out of shape? Maybe I should try that magic word thing after all...)
(But what would I even say?)
He paused for a moment while thinking, moving closer to the goblin
It uttered a word that he actually could understand though it sounds really strange
"Go!!"
It grabbed the club laying by the entrance
?!!!!!!
(Crap, it had a hidden weapon! I better do something..)
(Wait a minute, the tab something about me being summoned here after death by a goddess. If that's true then... Tab! I have a word for Skill Create)

He noticed that the Goblin had been alone for a while and rushes to think.

He activated it and hus body glowed for a second and he felt a bit stronger

(Hmmm, I guess we should check this out then.) He rushed towards the goblin.
#Goblin Gatcha was very confused this weak human showed up and hurt Gambit. He was an idiot but slime's acid was no joke and he caught it right in the eyes. The human glowed like one of those...pole dens and was rushing towards her.#
Whack!!
The stick stabbed towards the goblin but was blocked by the goblin's club.
"Gagla" It grunted with anger in its eyes.
The goblin pushed him back a bit. He swung again but the stick broke as the goblin blocked his attack for the second time. In that moment he could feel the magic fade away as he no longer felt bolstered by his smite skill.
(Crap! I wasted to much time)
He began to back away as the goblin put it club over its shoulder and started walking towards him smugly all the while chanting or perhaps teasing.
"Ga Gu"
"Ga gu"
Darren was feeling slightly panicked in this moment.

He grabbed a rock and threw it at the goblin.It used the club to bat the rock away and started whistling while swinging the club around in it's hand.
(Dang it! It's just making fun of me now!)
While looking around frantically for something he spots the other goblin sniffing around. He saw that its eyes were burned out and it appeared to be completely blind.
(It's not DEAAAAAD?! )
In a panic, he tried to use smite again and the familiar glow and feeling of bolstering returned.
He turned to the standing goblin and rushed it, trying to disarm it.Her eyes glowed red as she threw the club at him.
(That's new)is the only thing he had time to think before ducking under the throw. He then gets an idea and uses OUT to teleport to the club, grabbing it and picking it up as his own weapon.
"Ha-HA!"
He swung at the goblin who tried to block using her arms but was knocked to the ground.
(Success!)
With bloodied arms she tried to get up and fell.
(Oh... that... was actually pretty messed up)
With his moment of pity,the other goblin finally reached him and jumped unto his back and bit the back of his neck.
[HP 1/3]
"AHH!!!"
He fell over and away from the goblin in pain. He slowly got up and swung the club like a cricket bat at the blinded monster,it's body crumbled as the blow connected.

"F-finally..."

(Wait... I didn't get that when I knocked out this one... did I?)
The goblin groaned and started to try and drag itself towards the cave.
(Ah... this is pretty sad, even though it tried to kill me... did she say that I need to kill them?)
He watches as the pitiful goblin stops moving at the mouth of the cave.

He slowly walked over to the two bodies and put them into the ring.
"That's probably what she wanted me to do with this"
[Two Goblin Corpses have been stored]
(That better have been all of them)
[Would you like to absorb the corpses?]
(What does this even mean?)

(She probably is going to need proof that I killed them so... not yet. I will add 2 points to sense though.)

(That should be enough for now. But I should check if that was the only ones though.)
As he stepped near the entrance of the cave many alerts appeared.

After a while two more goblins come out,possibly to replace the ones that were there before.One hd a small dagger by its side.The other had guns... His muscles are huge!!
Darren slowly backed up.The big one looked around and sniffed the air.
(Crap)
He turned to the one with the dagger and said "Lagast nall co. Gi anag blaf."The one with the dagger lookex at him confused and then also began to sniff the air. "Gres"
They both went back into the cave.
(There's so many of them. And they look powerful too... maybe I should quit?) he thought for a moment.(I can't do that. Not after talking all of that trash with the witch.) He sighed .
"Hey, Magic Tablet... how many stat points do I have?"
