So I'll just leave Malum Diana decided as she walked towards her room.I'll headed for one of the other two kingdoms. The Kingdom of Fortis would probably be best.
Diana was thinking this as sh walked down the corridors leading to her room.
'Maybe it seems stupid to run away from my family and my kingdom all just to become a knight but a knight is who I am and no one and I mean no one will take that away from me.' Diana thought to myself full of determination 'I'll prove that I can become a knight and that I can fight. Besides I'm not just running away to become a knight there's so much more to it then that.'
Before Diana even realised it she was walking into her room before she entered she spotted a servant and told them that she is not to be disturbed until nine o'clock this evening. Closing the door behind her, Diana locked it before heading to her walk-in wardrobe to find some clothes and a cloak for tonight. Tonight she'd finally leave the Kingdom of Malum.
Diana searched and searched through her clothes, you'd be surprised how hard it is to find something stealthy, comfortable and that won't restrict her movements when pretty much all the outfits her parents provide her with are dresses, but luckily she found it. A night blue short sleeve top which sticks to her upper half so that it can't get caught on anything and a matching pair of boots which go up to her knees and have a slight heel. As well as a pair of skin-tight, ankle long pair of coal-black trousers.
Then she searched for a comfortable, lightweight cloak. After Diana found an ebony coloured cloak as well she placed it down with her outfit and boots, then Diana walked over to the far back of her wardrobe and pushed apart the dresses that were hanging there to reveal a plane pale wall the same as all the other walls.
But it wasn't the same as the other walls. Dianas fingers traced along the edges searching until she heard a satisfying "click," and a panel of the wall at the back of the wardrobe came off.
Diana put it down on the floor gently, and inside the whole in the wall sat two dual swords that were in dark, night blue sheaths and hung from a hazel brown belt. Next to it sat a mahogany coloured satchel, Diana opened it and inside sat a small scarlet coloured purse. Inside was some money she'd been saving and hidden away in case of emergencies. Besides the purse sat a dagger in a black sheath for protection, as well as a map and compass to help Diana find her way.
She grabbed the satchel and swords before putting the board back and pushing the clothes back to where they were originally. Making it look like nothing was different.
Then she walked over to her clothes and put down her satchel and dual swords before picking up her clothes and getting dressed. Then she fastened her belt where her dual swords now hung around her waist making sure it wasn't too tight or loose and then Diana grabbed her cloak and fastened it around her neck.
After grabbing her satchel, she grabbed a raven ribbon and tied up her waist long silver hair into a high pony tail before pulling up her hood and checking in the mirror that her face and hair can't be seen.
Diana then walked over to the double doors across from her and opened them as quietly as possible the sun had set and the stars and moon filled the sky. An attendant will probably be coming to get her for dinner soon and she needs to be gone before they come to get her.
Diana walked over to the edge of her balcony and climbed onto the ledge taking a moment to look back at her room for the last time for who knows how long before turning around and jumping into the tree that were probably only a few meters away from her balcony.
She can't even begin to count the amount of times she'd jumped into this tree to get away from the palace and all its rules. It's funny really you'd think being a princess she'd have everything she could ever want and all the freedom in the world but Dina doesn't and in the end she has to leave to gain her freedom and get what she wants no what she needs.
She climbed down the tree and ran concealed by the shadows watching out for guards all the way to the stables where her horse Luna is. Diana's had her since Luna was just a new born and Diana learnt to ride her when she was around five years old. Luna's been loyal to Diana for as long as she's had her. Which is more than Diana can say about most.
Before Diana even realised it she'd reached the stables and was in Luna's stall her long, shiny main seems to have been brushed today probably around seven. Her coat was ebony like the night sky and her eyes shone silver like stars. She was truly like the night sky.
"Hi, girl." Diana greeted her smiling.
"Nnaaaaaayyyyy" Luna nayed before walking over and bending her head to be stroked Diana smiled warmly and complied stroking her head.
"Come on Luna we've got to go. We can't stay here anymore their strangling the life from us but we'll prove them wrong I'll become a knight." Diana explained grabbing her saddle and reins doing them up quickly but sturdily and grabbed a bag of sugar cubes from the side before jumping into the saddle and kicking Luna lightly before they galloped out the stable and over the castles ground.
Getting further and further away from the palace. Diana could hear shouts that she's missing throughout the palace and gently kicked Luna to go faster.
Before Diana knew it they were far away from the palace.
