Spoiled

"Where are we going?"

"To the President's office. I wanted to show you something..." Reiko replied.

They entered the VIP elevator and went up to Reiko's office. It was like a presidential suite with a beautiful view of the night lights in Tokyo, except, it was after the Great Fall.

Hachiro gazed outside and stand in awe.

"I wanted to show you that.." Reiko said, patting his son's shoulder.

"I haven't had a chance to see something like this in the past year..." Hachiro replied.

"I know... Well, forget about that.." Reiko said turning to the LCD, flashing something on it. "Check this out."

"What's that?" Hachiro said.

"It is what you see what it is.." Reiko replied. "Ned and I helped to customize this stuff."

"It was like the one Oji-nii gave us in the plane.."

"Well, yeah,,, but it is more upgraded." Reiko bragged. "It will work better than the ones given to you in the plane. I know the Circa will manage with just that, but I know you need a piece of much better equipment." He added and handed him the gadget, a digital watch. "Besides, I can spoil my son, right?"

"It will make me look like a damn cheater..." Hachiro frowned but wore it anyway. "Not that I am not, yet one..." he smirked as he rolled his eyes.

"Don't say that..." Reiko muttered.

"Oh, I was just speaking my mind out. My bad." Hachiro replied.

"Oh, well, the data was sent to your email. Scan it later and be familiar with it. I know with Shi-chan you can master it in a nick of time..." Reiko said.

"Thanks, Dad. This is a big help."

"No need of thanks. It's the only thing I can do for you. I have given you much trouble already, I'm sorry for dragging you into this, huh..." Reiko said "If only I can change my ID number, I will be the one who will stop him..." he added.

"Oh, you mean the fixed ID system that the GSTech developed?"

"Yeah,,, once you are given that ID number, it will be yours for a lifetime. It will become your identity, username, account number in any transactions whatever it may be in the government or private agencies...like one number makes it all."

"And the super safe, uncrackable system you ever made..."

"For the purpose of secrecy, efficiency, and reliability. Because, if you have this number, wherever you go, you will be known through that number. One swipe and all your information will be available for the second party who would like to know about you. It will become easier for the second party to verify the info through the GS system, especially when getting clearances and other certificates..."

"And it can also verify if you are a real resident of that city or state..." Hachiro muttered

"Applicable for those who illegally enter a state or city without permission." Reiko continued.

"And you only have to memorize one number combination..."

"With no worries of identity theft or system malfunctions..." Reiko added. "But that gave me a setback. It's like I've been stuck in the mud, I can't move any farther. The hacker seem to know I was tracing him as I scan through the internet. Even with different usernames, he always blocked me whenever I approached him because of that ID number. Even Louige can't approach him in any way as well. It pisses me off... I can't do a thing about him." Reiko gave a big sigh. "That leaves me to let you handle everything..."

"It's alright, Dad. I have my own business with him as well, so this is not all your fault." Hachiro said "Besides, we've talked about this before, right? I thought we're all even now."

"Yeah... I'm sorry. I'm just getting emotional, that's all."

"So not like you, dad."

"Really?" Reiko laughed under his breath "But, the bottom line is, it is still up to you and I'm putting you in danger, Ha-chan."

"I know, Dad. But don't worry, I'll finish this in no time."

"Just try to be safe, okay? Your mom's gonna kill me if anything happens to you." Reiko said.

"Ahh.. I will keep that in mind."

"And always remember..."

"What is it?"

"When the situation turns into a pinch, just remember you are my son."

"I know that already, haha..."

"But you keep on calling me Dad, not To-chan.." he pouted his lips as if to make it a frown.

"Oh, my bad.. haha"

....

"This looks expensive.." Andi exclaimed having his eyes glimmer in the bright morning sunlight of the east.

"Indeed..." Michiyo added, nodding her head in agreement with a slight yawn.

Morning breaks with a glimmering crimson sky in a different hue than what they have in Aurum City. They were picked up by a chauffeur of the same limousine they went with yesterday and dropped them at the docks in the pier where the huge Cruise Ship, with a big carving on its body the name Oro Shinsei, was docked.

"I bet you have had a good night's sleep, folks?" Louige asked. He brought a box of breakfast for each of them: Yakisoba with a sushi side dish and miso soup packed in a paper pack. Hachiro stood behind him helping him carry the bags.

"Yeah, that was one hell of a night though..." Andi replied staring at the bags that Hachiro carry.

"Thank goodness you're satisfied... but you did great last night, too." Louige gave Andi a thumbs up.

"I'll give you a few minutes to eat your food. I'll just arrange stuffs with the captain and we're good to go. I also have something to tell you again." Louige said." He went to the ramp to get inside the ship "Also, for you to eat this food we brought, it's kinda heavy you know..."

They all find a place to sit as they open their breakfast and dug in.

"Hai..." the Circa replied.

"It might still be at the AR..." Andi murmured. "That thing he wanted to discuss again."

"Don't be a loser, Andi." Andra dragged him to sit beside her.

"So, the son can be a lackey sometimes.." Alex whispered to Jayson with a grim grin on his face. He opened his food and took a bite.

"Shut up, Alex... he's gonna hear you.."

"I don't care.." rolling his eyes.

They stared at the kid who's sitting away from them.

"You know, I discovered something about him last night." Andra muttered.

They all turned towards her way.

"We're all ears." Tori said.

"He work for Mr. Louige way before he entered the GS High.." Andra said.

"Oh, really...no wonder he's got balls.." Alex exclaimed. "And the way he talks with him is so casual that looks like they knew each other for a long time."

"I told you to shut it up, Alex.." Jayson muttered and poked Alex on his shoulder, now eyeing him. "Just stop bad-mouthing the kid. He's still the President's son. We can't insult Mr. Ginsei through his son."

"Hai, hai.."

A few minutes passed and the ship just honked to signal its departure.
