Prophecies, Gods, This Just Gets Worse!

I kept getting weird looks when I passed some campers, one I was used to them because of my dad. Two, these looks meant something else, not like "you don't belong here," or "it's her, the girl of death." No these looks definitely meant something else. Then it hit me, someone could've seen me and Juniper kiss?

Oh, gods, if it was someone from the Aphrodite cabin the news would've spread like wildfire. The Ares cabin probably wouldn't care, nor would the Demeter or Dionysus cabins. Maybe the Athena cabin, no, I don't think so, probably not the Hephaestus cabin. The Hermes cabin would've pulled a prank on me or something. The Apollo cabin would've questioned Juniper, probably not them then. So that probably means, someone from the Aphrodite cabin saw us.

"Oh, gods," I muttered and stopped dead in my tracks when I saw my girlfriend, Juniper.

Juniper was chatting with some kids from the Aphrodite cabin. She looked over and noticed me.

"Excuse me," Juniper said and walked out of the conversation over to me.

"Hey, I think someone saw us," I said.

"That's what the Aphrodite girls were talking to me about."

We both paused and blinked at each other.

"Well, I'm gonna go plan my funeral and disappear to my dad's realm for the next hundred years," I grumbled loudly.

Juniper laughed softly and patted the top of my head which caused me to blush.

"You are so cute when you're mad." Juniper smiled.

"Am not!" I huffed.

"Oh, please, it's so cute." Juniper kissed my forehead and walked back to the Aphrodite girls.

"I- I don't even- I can't even- I-" I struggled for words. I then proceeded to run to Juniper and hugged her from behind.

"I love you," I said quietly making sure she only heard.

Juniper smiled down and me from over her shoulder. "I love you too." She said quietly.

I let her go and stepped back. I looked up at her and realized just how short I was. I was 5'3 and Juniper was 5'7.

"Come on Peck," Juniper took my hand and pulled me along to the Aphrodite girls.

"Huh?" I yelped.

I felt sick after I smelt the perfume, gods, why do people wear it?

"I knew it! I told you all-"

"It was me who saw them!" A girl stepped forwards. She wore an orange Camp Half-Blood shirt, soft blue jeans, blue runners and some bright red lipstick and a bunch of other beauty products that I didn't know what they were called.

"I swear to Zeus, just shut up for five seconds please," I growled. "Why do you care if we're a couple?"

"Because we're daughters of Aphrodite, goddess of love, we care when someone becomes a couple." The girl in bright red lipstick said.

"Gods, I'm gonna go plan my funeral." I turned and stormed off.

"No planning your early funeral!" I heard Juniper call after me.

I walked away from the cabins down to the Arena. A few kids from the Ares and Apollo cabins were training with Chiron supervising.

The first person I recognized was Alex, I was confused for a few moments. Wasn't he on a quest? Maybe he just got back? No, it doesn't look like he's just returned, has he been here all day?

Alex noticed me and got a punch to the gut from his opponent, his half-sister Clarrise. He grunted in pain clutching his stomach and landed on the ground. He lay on the ground as Clarrise held her spear at his chest.

"You win Clarrise." He grunted.

"Who's next?" Clarrise looked around and one of her brothers stepped forwards to challenge her.

Alex got to his feet and walked over to me.

"Hey how ar-"

I cut him off with a hug. "Missed you, glad you're safe."

"I- thanks, Peck." Alex patted my back.

I pulled away and looked up at him, he was a few months older than I was and he was 5'9 in height.

"How long have you been at camp?" I asked.

"Got back this morning."

"Why didn't you come to say hi or somethin' then?"

"I thought you were busy with Juniper."

"I'm not always busy with Juniper, Alex."

"I just thought you were, sorry."

"No, it's fine."

"So, uh, you and Juniper are a couple now?"

"News really does spread like wildfire, but yes and if that's a problem then get out of here before I cause an army of skeletons to drag you down to the Underworld."

"No, no it's not a problem, it's actually really amazing." Alex shook his head. "I've known Juniper since I came here and she's perfect for you."

"How so?"

"She's just so bright, caring a great healer, while you're and I don't mean to insult you, your a lot darker, ready to die for your friends and Juniper bring out the brighter side of you."

I was speechless, Alex looked down at me, his green eyes misted over with happiness.

"Thank you, Alex, really, thank you." I managed to say.

"Of course Peck." Alex smiled, "I'd best get back to training before Clarrise yells at me, I'll see you around." And with that said he walked off.

"Yeah, see you around," I mumbled.

"Ah, Miss Glen I was hoping to talk to you." Someone said beside me.

I looked over and saw a white stallion, I looked up and saw Chiron. I was silent for a moment then panic erupted from me as I yelled a greek curse.

"Sorry, did I startle you?" Chiron apologized patting me on the back friendly.

"Yes, yes you did Mr. Chiron!" I snapped.

"Don't call me "Mr. Chiron" just call me Chiron."

"I- ok, whatever you say Chiron. Um, what did you need to tell me?"

"There's a prophecy of a child of the Big Three. Poseidon, Zeus and... your father, Hades."

"And? What is it?"

"Are you sure you wish to hear it?"

"If it's about me, then shoot your best shot."

"A half-blood of the eldest gods, shall reach sixteen against all odds, and see the world in endless sleep, the hero's soul, cursed blade shall reap, a single choice shall end their days Olympus to preserve or raze."

"Hm, sounds pretty cool, guess I do have to plan that funeral."

"I- pardon?"

"Nothing it's just, I'm pretty I'd probably die before I ever complete that... thing."

"Well, you can always try."

"I'm sure trying is out of the question, I don't have to try, I have to complete that quest or Olympus shall raze as in be destroyed."

"You do have a valuable point."

"Anyways, enough of prophecies, are there any quests I can do?"

"No, no, you are much too inexperienced."

"Excuse me, but I came up with a plan to kill that monster a few days ago when Alex was near death. I was able to get the monster away from camp, I summoned those skeletons to protect my friends. How is that all "inexperienced" because I'd like to know."

"You were nearly killed, you only survived with those scars because Juniper took down the monster before it killed you."

"Then send me and Juniper, we can complete a quest."

"I suppose, let me talk to Dion- Mr. D."

"Alright, thank Chiron."

I walked down into the arena as Clarrise knocked her brothers' sword out of his hand and knocked him to the ground.

"Another win, anyone else?" She looked around at her sibling.

"I'll go," I stepped forwards.

"Alright, get your weapon and we'll start." Clarrise grinned.
