"R-run." Melicia croaked. Her voice was hoarse. But she knew her daughter heard her just fine. She swallowed hard and tried to put conviction in her tone for her daughter to follow.

The girl was shaking her head. "Mom." Tears were tumbling down her face.

"Go to your daddy, sweetie. Go to him!" Melicia pleaded for her daughter to escape. "Go! You need to listen to me! Please save yourself. Run, Melisca. Run!"

Other people were running to barge in behind the two men. With the last look of her mom, she turned around and started on her speed. She might be a half-wolf, but she's still a child, and there were a lot of men. Her mom always said that if she ever encountered a hunter that was about to hurt her, she should run and never fight back. Just run away from the big men.
