DARING MYSELF

(CLOE'S POV)

I stormed out of the restaurant fast enough that Val has to keep up my pace until we reached the elevator. I'm glad, though, that there's no other passenger in that elevator, that it's just Val and me. I can have a chance to storm out and let out what's inside my heavy heart.

"I just can't take it anymore. I had believed Ziggy all this time. I trusted him more than anybody else." I grumbled at Val. I couldn't care less about his reaction this time.

"I'm sorry Cloe, I didn't expect it as well because all I thought that Ziggy really loves you, but maybe he actually does. Maybe, I've had some valid reason why he didn't tell you about it." Val tried to explain to me maybe he thought that I could easily be persuaded. Well, maybe I used to, but I'm not sure about it this time.
