The Devil's Trap

Olivia glanced at the luxurious watch that wrapped beautifully around her left wrist, "Daniel will be coming to get me in a minute now," she said as she smiled in a graceful manner.

Just as she finished her words, from the corner of her eyes, she saw the figure of a young man who was walking towards their direction with long and steady strides.

The smile on her face grew even more at that. She knew that Daniel, her only son, never breaks the promises he made and was always on time if there was no emergency at his ends.

It was already a little past four in the afternoon when Daniel arrived there to get her mother, even though he usually came home at least after five in the afternoon or even later after that, as he preferred to work more in the evening at the office for several virtual meeting with some of his overseas subsidiaries.
