Chapter 16

Thor's Pov

I left a very distraught Loki in his cell hoping he would be ok. I made my way to the common room looking for Lady Wanda. Like my adopted brother she has the power to read people's minds and memories; if my plan works Loki will be free to be with his bride to be.

"Lady Wanda, are you here?" I called out noticing the room was empty, I searched around the tower as I made my way towards the medical wing a loud crash sounded.

'Oh dear, that did not sound good,' I thought, hurrying to the medical wing. As soon as I got there Tony was in his Iron man suit while everyone else was knocked out with (Y/n) was curled into a ball in the corner of the room, purple vapors surrounding her.

"Lady (Y/n)?" I calmly called out to her, she looked up at me with pure fear, her eyes held no light within them like they normally had.

I ran back to Loki's cell, not caring what the others would say.

"Loki, come brother, your Lady needs you," I said, opening the cell door. He didn't even ask what was happening following me back to (Y/n)'s medical room. As soon as Loki saw her, he ran over to her side. "(Y/n) it's ok I'm here my love." He gently pulled her into his lap holding her protectively. Not understanding what had happened I continued my search for Wanda.

I finally found her sitting on the roof, having no idea what had transpired downstairs. I calmly explained to her about Loki being arrested under false pretenses asking her to look into Loki's mind. She agreed then asked where he was.

"He is currently calming his fiancee after I found her curled in the corner of her healing room. She had magic swirling around her and looked so scared I had to let Loki out." I explained, Wanda nodded understanding.

Normal Pov

(Y/n) had been taken to the medical wing and placed within one of the rooms. Clint had handcuffed her to the bed then walked away to get Tony so he could perform the necessary tests to ensure you were safe and healthy. You screamed as you tried to get free from your restraints, flashbacks from your time at HYDRA kept entering your mind. You began to hear voices from people who weren't even in the room.

The door opened, and Tony, Clint, and Natasha walked in. You begged them to set you free tears streaming down your face, yet they still ignored your cries. Fear began to fill every fiber of your being; your magic started to grow in power as your emotions were running wild, slowly losing control. You let out a scream as your power knocked Natasha and Clint against the far wall knocking them unconscious. Tony was knocked back as well but he had his Iron Man suit on so he was stuck inside it unable to move as your powers had short circuited his suit.

Moments passed and another person entered the room. "Lady (Y/N)?" the familiar looking man asked. You looked up at him not really seeing who was speaking as tears flooded your vision. You pulled your legs to your chest curling into a ball as the man left. He returned almost within a few minutes with another person. The new man knelt down in front of you, he calmly yet carefully cupped your cheek, his cold hand was incredibly comforting. Loki had come to your rescue pulling you onto his lap holding you protectively, whispering sweet nothings of love in your ear. You slowly fell asleep within his embrace not caring what happened so long as he was with you.

As you slept in Loki's arms Wanda entered the room.

"Loki, Thor asked me to look into your mind and see your true intentions, is it alright if I do so now?" Her sokovian accent was very pronounced as she spoke. He simply nodded, never taking his eyes from your sleeping form.

Wanda's eyes lit up red as she used her powers to see inside his mind.

(Loki's thoughts)

I will make them pay for hurting her. She has already been through so much she didn't deserve to be treated like this. I just want her to be happy like she deserves. Maybe if I had stayed on Asgard she would have been safe, this would not have happened. I love her so much I will always protect and care for her

Wanda saw and heard nothing but love and concern for (Y/n). "If you betray her I will kill you," she said threateningly, "but for now I will help convince the others your intentions are true. I know they did not mean to cause her harm." Loki simply nodded standing up still holding his fiancee protectively.

"Could you take me to her room so I can make her comfortable, then I will go to my cell. I do not wish to cause more distress," he said softly, as he spoke (Y/n) gripped his shirt, not wanting to let go.

"Brother, you can stay with her. I will explain to the avengers, why you were released." Loki thanked Thor and followed Wanda to your room. She closed the door as Loki laid you on your bed before laying next to you.

Loki's Pov

Once (Y/n)'s comfortable I get up to deal with the Avengers. I find them all in the common room. "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!" I yell. "It was for her own good," Clint answers.

"Ah yes, reminding her of when she was tortured is always for "her own good"," I snap. "How do you know about that?" Tony questions. "She told me! This isn't about what I know, Stark. This is about what you did to my beloved!"

Clint snickers. "Beloved?" I glare at Clint. "WHY WOULD YOU LET THEM DO THAT TO YOUR COUSIN?!" Clint looks a little ashamed. "I-I don't know…"

I walk farther into the common room. "WHY WOULD ANY OF YOU DO THAT TO A FELLOW TEAM MATE!? EVEN IF YOU THOUGHT I DID SOMETHING! YOU COULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING WITHOUT HURTING HER!" They all look a little ashamed. 'At least they feel bad,' I think to myself.

"Don't let it happen again," I growl as I walk back to (Y/n)'s room. 'Idiots!'
