Alice

Alice had just got to level 10, she was way behind both Marcus and John. They had both gone to the capital 5 and 4 days ago game time. Of course that was to be expected as she had opted to take the hardest class to level up.

The Dragon Knight class was brutal when it came to requirements. Dragon Knights would get an egg and a simple set of armor and weapon to start. The first thing that Dragon Knights needed to do was hatch their egg to receive their pet. This required experience points, so while everyone else was easily leveling up, Dragon Knights were stuck leveling up their egg till it hatched. Depending on luck they would either get a Dragon or a Wyvern. Once the egg hatched they then had to share at the least 50% of their experience points with their pet if they wanted to level up them up at a good enough pace to make them useful. Alice had set her pet experience to 60% once it hatched. Also once they hatched their eggs they would then receive a set of Dragon Knight equipment or Wyvern Knight equipment. This also had to be leveled up through sacrificing experience. Every advantage that she would have, would also be a disadvantage. On top of all that if your pet died you were set back to level one and given a new egg.

Alice had been one of the lucky two and hatched a dragon, however she got a pink fluffy ball that had barely any fighting skills it didn't even have a breath attack. While the other knight to get a dragon had a black lightning dragon, which already had a powerful breath attack. Even the Wyvern Knights made fun of her, well until her pet got upset and ate 3 Wyvern Knights pets. Alice smirked when she remembered them losing their equipment and levels. Then she frowned because she knew that those 3 players would probably target her in the future.

"So are you going to be useful to me or should I just start over?" Alice talked to her dragon which she had decided to name Dragon. This was of course because Alice didn't really have a good naming sense. She even used her own name for her character. "Well are you going to answer me?" The dragon just rubbed up against her leg. "Oh never mind you're to cute, even if you do seem a little useless right now. I'm sure you'll grow up to be big and strong." Dragon puffed up her chest and tried to look fierce but only managed to look like a kitten batting a ball of yarn, Alice smiled and shook her head. As it was she was just barely strong enough to head to the capital.

Alice didn't particularly like the skill the baby dragon had, luckily so far everything they had come up against had a much lower life rating, so the baby dragon hadn't really been in danger as of yet.

Alice then noticed Brock on his way over to her. Brock was the other actual Dragon Knight. "Hey Alice do you wanna team up?" Brock smiled as he asked. " As the only two Dragon Knights here we should form a party." Alice wasn't sure, Brock had never asked her this before. So she decided to use the excuse of going to the capital.

"Nah I'm heading to Tri-Destrum right away." Alice figured that Brock would be to low level to come with her to the capital. Alice hoped he wouldn't try to tag along it was hard enough sharing experience between everything she had right now.

"Well I just hit level 10 before coming back to the village. But don't you think it's to early to head to the capital, won't the monsters be harder to deal with? Look there's the Dragon's Peak mountain, apparently the monsters there are just slightly higher then the Dragon Plateau. I also heard from Garelend that their is a Dragon Evolve core up there." Garelend was the Dragon Knights Master. "We can share experience and maybe evolve our Dragons to the next stage." If what Brock said was true then this would be a good opportunity.

"What if there is only one Dragon Evolve Core up there?" Alice asked. "How would we decide who get's it? Also I think I'll ask Garelend myself, he may know if there is more then one core up there."

"Look if there is only one core then we'll just flip a coin, that'll be fair right." Brock was hopeful because he had already confirmed the info.

Alice got up and headed to the The Dragon Knight Master. Looking around the compound Alice noticed that several people were looking at them. They were probably just jealous that they had Dragon's.

Once inside the barracks Alice immediately headed to the main office. "Hmmm what brings my only Dragon Knights to my office?" Garelend looked at them, he hadn't seem them working together as of yet, however he hadn't seen much of the Knights working together either. Of course this was only natural as the requirements to get stronger were extremely high.

"Sir, Brock has informed me that you had told him that there may be a Dragon Evolve Core on Dragon Peak mountain. I was wondering if there would be more then one?" Alice was straight forward. "Also what exactly would be the difficulty of obtaining it?"

"Yes there is a core up there however there is only one. As for difficulty, it gets harder the further up the mountain you go. It would be good for you two to learn to work together Actual Dragon's are rare and the better they get along the better chance of finding more cores. At first Dragon's will be able to sniff the core's out as long as they are within 50 meters of it. However Dragon's that work together will be able to double that distance." Garelend related the information to them hoping they would choose to work together.

"Well Brock it seems you have a deal let's go." Alice was already heading out the door. Brock had to run to catch up to her.
