An Unexpected Meeting

"Don't worry, I'm not here to hurt anyone. The boss gave me some time to myself some I decided to attend this party that I was invited to. Have I introduced myself yet? I go by Ren." Ren said.

Ren walked next to me and began looking around. The area we were in had a nice view of the beach and also had hills that people would use for picnics.

"I'm surprised you worked with Crimson. You two seem like polar opposites so I find it weird." I said, looking towards the ocean.

Ren stayed quiet for a bit. I turned my head a bit so I could look at him and saw that his face was emotionless. I tapped him on the shoulder which caused him to snap out of his daze.

"Right, sorry about that. Crimson and I didn't exactly get along to well. But we still worked together really well somehow. Maybe it's because we both owned Genmochi." Ren said.

I turned away from Ren and continued looking at the ocean. A small breeze blew by causing me to feel at ease despite who was next to me.

"You mention your boss a lot, I know you're not going to tell me who he is but what's he like?" I asked.

Ren took a deep breath and looked at me. He had a prideful smile on his face and he seemed to be glowing somehow.

"The boss is... well to say the least he's terrifying. Nobody's been able to beat him on a one-on-one. Despite all that though, he still is pretty nice to the people he works with. For someone who the public would see as a bad guy he's not actually too bad. Well ignoring the fact that he's killed too many people to count." Ren said.

I once again turned my attention to Ren and gave him a blank stare. He seemed caught off guard by me staring and quickly looked away. I let out a small sigh and continued looking into the distance. As we stood there in silence I could hear Alice's voice come from behind me. I turned around to see her giving me a strange look.

"Hey, John? Who's that guy you're talking to? Do we know him?" Alice asked, walking up to us.

"I best be going now, I've been here long enough to see how this thing will end." Ren said, walking away from us.

Alice and I stood there for a moment, watching Ren walk away. Ashe said he felt a dark aura around him but he seemed completely chill. I leaned against the fence for a moment and took a deep breath.

"You shouldn't spend all your time out here. At least try to enjoy the party that Morgan let us go to." Alice said, grabbing onto my wrist.

Nothing much has changed since I was last here. Everyone seemed to be in the same spot talking to the same people. As we walked around the room the sound of a bell echoed through the room. Everyone turned to see where the noise came from and saw a butler standing by the stairway.

"May I have everyone's attention? Lord Eli shall be coming down shortly."
