Giant

The hook suddenly shot out and connected two one of the trees causing us to swing to the side. As we turned I got a great view of the giant crashing into the trees as it attempted to turn itself towards us. The hook suddenly detached from the tree and allowed to hook onto something else.

"Can you shoot some magic at that thing, Alice?" I yelled, swinging around the trees.

"Kinda hard to focus while we're swinging around but I'll try." Alice said, aiming her hand at the giant.

Despite all the attacks Alice landed on the giant, it didn't seem bothered one bit. It just kept charging at us. A good spot to hide would be nice right about now but I doubt I'd be able to find one. Why are the monsters on this floor so much stronger than on floor one?

"Release the hook!" Alice suddenly screamed.

I nodded and quickly released the hook causing us to start falling. As soon as we did a large tree went over our head.

"Talk about a close one." I said with a sigh of relief.

"Now's not the time for celebrating!" Alice yelled, pointing at the ground.

With a large crash we slammed into the ground. As we began to pick ourselves up the giant stopped in front of us. There was no way we were going to be able to run now, it was too close.

Vines began to grow from the giant's back and moved back and forth. Before the giant could do anything else, I unsheathed Genki and shot a beam towards the giant's eye. The giant smacked it away as if it were a fly and began walking towards us.

The giant suddenly made a loud groan and fell to its knees. Someone from above suddenly swooped down and delivered a giant slash across the giant, causing it to finally fall over.

"Phew, this giant finally had the item I wanted." A male voice said.

The man was holding onto a medium sized blue crystal. He tossed it into the air and caught it before putting it in a small bag. He turned around and gave us a confused look.

"What are a bunch of kids doing in the middle of a forest like this?"
