"Is this the place?" Steven asked, pointing towards a cave and covered with spider webs and pumpkins.
Yeah that was definitely it. It even looked exactly how the guild board explained it. I nodded at Steven before cutting down the spiderweb blocking the entrance.
"You ready?" I asked Steven.
Steven nodded as he walked next to me. We both entered the cave and began looking around.
This place weirded me out to say the least. The pumpkins here were different from what I was used to. They were… larger I think? Eh, I didn't let it bother me too much.
"I kinda wish that everyone else was with us. It would make things a whole lot more fun." Steven said, having a somewhat sad expression on his face.
"Tell me about it." I said.
As we continued walking through the cave we found ourselves in what looked like a large open area. Lanterns began to light up around us which made the both of us draw our weapons.
I looked around and saw that a corridor had appeared at the end of the room. That wasn't all though, I could hear footsteps coming from the end of it.
I elbowed Steven to get his attention and kept my eyes on the corridor. What was walking towards us right now? I kept my guard up and waited. As time passed I could hear the sound of multiple footsteps. I didn't like this in the slightest.
Would the thing just show up already? We've been waiting here for what's felt like hours and all we've gotten was footsteps.
The source of all of the footsteps had finally revealed itself.
There was a horse with blue flames as a mane. It's body itself was a pitch black color and its eyes were red. On top of that horse was someone dressed up in black armor with dark purple near the ends of his plating. His head was the weirdest of all. It was a pumpkin with blue flames shooting out of its eyes.
"It's about time you show up, we've been waiting here forever!"
I couldn't have said it any better myself, thanks Steven. I nodded my head and gave the knight a nasty look that caused him to take a step back.
The knight seemed to regain his composure and took a step forward. He placed both hands on his head and just casually took it off.
It threw it up in the air for whatever reason and left itself wide open for one my attacks. Without hesitation I fired one of Genki's beams into its head and watched as its entire body vanished and only left the armor behind.
"What the hell kinda boss was that?" Steven asked, picking up some of the armor.
That was… interesting to say the least. I walked over to where Steven and the armor was and looked to see if it dropped anything good. Weird, all I saw was the it's armor which definitely looked like it could catch a good price at stores.
"Alright let's head back and sell this stuff." I said, turning towards Steven.
I gave Steven a confused look when I saw him wearing a good chunk of the armor the boss dropped. It didn't help that none of the armor even fit him. I could only see the his eyes with the chest plate on.
