I Hate Spiders

"Well aren't you ugly." I said.

As much as I'd like to, there was no way I would be able to kill this thing with a practice sword. The only thing I could do was stall for time until Katsu was freed.

I carefully walked around the spider, trying to keep my distance so I could avoid any of its attacks. I hated looking at this thing. Its eight eyes creeped me out.

The spider swung one of its legs at me which caught me off guard. I didn't raise my weapon quick enough and got launched on the other side of the room.

"There's no way you can block that thing, John! Just try to dodge its attacks!" Katsu yelled.

The spider turned its head towards Katsu and made him go pale. I saw Megumi hit the top of his head so he would shut up as the spider returned its focus towards me.

From what I saw it looked like Megumi was half way finished with freeing Katsu.

"Ok I just need to hold you off for a little longer." I said, glaring at the spider.

The spider began running at me and shot a web which I just barely dodged. It then shot two more webs at me and managed to stick my hand against the wall.

Oh come on! I tried desperately to pull my hand off the wall but it just wouldn't come off. Maybe if I used some fire magic I could get it to come off. Oh wait, I don't know any magic.

"What was the name of the spell Akira used to make a tiny flame? Create Flames?" I asked myself.

The spider was still running at me which made me start to panic. It was only then when I noticed that smoke was coming from the web. That smoke was soon replaced with fire which freed me from the web.

"I did it! I used magic!" I yelled excitedly before getting hit into a wall.
