Silence.
Akio and Ichiro both had a disappointed look in their eyes as if the answer I'd given them wasn't good enough. That was really the gist of it, nothing special really. Though with how those two are acting I'm guessing it's a big deal to catch the attention of a guild leader.
Both turned towards Alice in hopes that she would have a better answer.
"I can't really elaborate anymore on what John said." She shrugged.
We all sat there in silence, waiting for when Morgan would return with who he presumed to be my brother.
"When did it stop raining?" Alice asked.
We all turned to look out the tree and saw that it did in fact stop raining. As soon as we looked we saw Morgan reappear.
"I kinda forgot that I was supposed to be at a meeting with all the other guild leaders. Until next time!"
And just like that, Morgan was gone.
"Let's get this quest over with." I said, jumping to my feet.
Everyone seemed ready to go as well. They all picked themselves up and jumped out of the tree with me.
I looked at the mountain in the distance. That mountain over there was home to the Giant King who also happened to be our target. Walking there would take us around half of the day.
"I doubt any of us wants to walk there so how about we have one of us hold onto Ichiro while he uses his aura and the other holds onto me while I use Genki?" I suggested.
"Actually you three can just hold onto me while I use my aura. I can carry up to three people so it should be fine." Ichiro said.
Oh. Well why didn't we just do that before?
"Why couldn't we just do that before?" Alice asked.
Ichiro didn't give us a response. He just activated his aura. I'll make sure to question him more about it later. I walked over to Ichiro and put my hand on his shoulder.
"This is good, right?" I asked.
"If you have a tight grip then yes." He answered.
I gave him a blank stare before putting both hands on his shoulder.
Alice and Akio soon followed and grabbed onto Ichiro tightly.
I've seen Ichiro move with his aura before but just how fast could he actually go?
The surroundings around us had suddenly changed. It had also gotten really cold. I looked around and saw that behind me was a large drop. We were already at the mountain.
We all released Ichiro and looked around. It was really quiet for a place that was supposed to be swarming with giants.
The sound of someone collapsing caused me to stop myself mid-thought and see what happened. Ichiro was laying face first in the snow.
"The reason I haven't used it was because it's really draining." His muffled voice could be heard from under the snow.
