Teamwork makes the Dream work

"Alice, I need you to start firing ice shards from the sky." I said, putting Genki in his sheathe.

"I can do that but won't it run the risk of hitting you, Ichiro, and Akio?" Alice questioned.

I nodded my head, "yeah but if all goes well, it could very well end in our victory."

Alice looked at my face and saw just how assured I looked. She nodded her head and began summoning her magic rings above the area we were at. A reign of large and small ice shards began falling down on the area, requiring all of us to stay in constant motion.

I ran through the endless barrage of ice shards and made my way over to the old man who was currently dealing with Ichiro. A sudden ice shard fell right in front of me causing me to blow it up so I wouldn't crash into it.

"What the hell is Alice doing?" Ichiro asked, narrowly dodging all the ice shards.

"It's part of my plan!" I answered, flying right past him so I could hit the old man.

"And that plan is?" Ichiro asked.

"You'll see soon enough."

The melted ice splashed beneath our feet as we continued after the man. The old man ducked under Ichiro punch but left himself vulnerable to my low kick which knocked him back.

"Akio! Can you keep him close to us?" I asked, blowing up another large ice shard.

"I'll see what I can do!" Akio responded.

The man went to jump back to avoid Ichiro's attacks but bumped into a raised piece of ground. Another ice shard fell in front of me but instead of breaking it, I decided to launch it towards that old man using the impact from my explosion magic.

"Look at you taking the leadership role." The old man said, laughing as he dodged all the small ice shards with ease.

Despite the man dodging our attacks with ease, we had backed him into a corner. He took a step forward and landed on one of the giant puddles surrounding the area.

Ichiro's eyes widened when he saw his surroundings. If I were to take a guess I'd say he finally figured out my plan. He turned his head towards me as a way to confirm if his answer was right and I nodded my head.

I turned back towards the old man and gave him a big smile. The old man gave me a confused look before looking at where he was standing. His face grew pale when he saw his reflection on the ground.

"Ichiro?" I said, signaling him to cast his spell.

"Already on it."

A large bolt of electricity shot out from Ichiro's finger and hit the puddle that the old man was standing on.

Despite all our efforts, the old man seemed to be unfazed by our combined efforts. That same black aura from before irrupted from his body as he walked over to us.

"I guess I should start going all out now." The old man said, cracking his knuckles as he walked over to us.
