An Uninvited Guest

"I know we were just fighting him but I just can't bring myself to leave him there while the building collapses. What should we do, Akari?" Ichiro asked, holding an unconscious John over his shoulder.

Akari let out a sigh before shaking her head, "fine, but you have to carry him as well."

Ichiro nodded his head and picked up the boy. Despite carrying two people, he didn't show any signs of feeling weighted down. Both Akari and Ichiro soon ran out of the room and began making a break for the exit.

"Since when did all this rubble get here?" Akari asked, destroying the rubble and clearing a path for her and Ichiro to get through.

As they ran through all the rubble they saw three silhouettes standing, though one was being held onto, at what used to be the stairs. Akari and Ichiro looked at each other for a moment before stopping and hiding behind some debris.

"Why is Naoki so important to you people?" The voice of the old man echoed throughout the hall.

"The girl herself isn't important. Instead it's her power we're after." An unfamiliar voice responded to the question.

Akari and Ichiro exchanged confused looks with each other before returning their attention on the new stranger and the old man.

"Her power? Why are you after such a thing?"

"Is it not obvious? Such power would be detrimental to our cause! With that power, we could-." The unfamiliar voice was cut off by Satoru's attack.

Satoru's attack came to a sudden stop and was followed by a loud clanging noise. The stranger had raised his right arm at where Satoru was.

"Why won't my blade move?!" Satoru said, putting more strength into his attack.

"Because you're hitting an unbreakable wall. Honestly, couldn't you've at least waited until I finished talking? If those two kids over there can do it then so can you" the stranger pointed his finger at Akari and Ichiro.
