The Shadow Genmochi

I looked at my spear and saw what looked to be an eye staring at me. We continued to stare at each other for a brief moment before it looked away.

"For hundreds of years I laid dormant, waiting for a new user to wield me. It would seem like that wait is finally over. Thy powers seem to work well with mine as well. I've truly stumbled upon a great user."

There was a faint laugh at the end of the Genmochi's sentence. It was somewhat unnerving to say the least. The way he spoke also weirded me out.

"Do you have a name for me to call you by?" I asked.

It was one of the first questions that popped into my mind. It would've felt weird to just keep calling him a weapon now.

"Throughout the years of my existence, I've found comfort in the name Zi."

"Well then, Zi. You ready to take down this loser?" I asked while giving Metalbeard a condescending smirk.

I could see a vein appear on Metalbeard's forehead as he responded to my facial expression with a passive aggressive smile.

"Oh I'm so beating you to a pulp." Metalbeard said before charging towards me.

"You'll have to get close to me for that to happen!" I shouted, slamming Zi into the ground.

A giant pillar emerged from the shadows and shot towards Metalbeard. Metalbeard used his cutlass as a way to redirect the pillar and continued his rush.

Before I had time to think, Metalbeard was already right in front of me and was preparing another attack.

A fireball suddenly flew by and struck Metalbeard, sending him back just enough for me to calm myself. I turned to where the fireball came from and saw that Emma was standing there with a magic ring held out in front of her hands. She noticed that I was staring and gave me a confused look.

"What? He left himself open."
