Necromancer's Assistance

"Move out of the way!" Fang shouted, running towards us with a horde of skeletons following from right behind him.

"Oh crap!" I shouted, pushing the necromancer to the side so we would both avoid getting trampled on.

Once Fang entered the room, I reached out my hand and grabbed onto his paw so I could pull him towards us. Right as he reached me, the horde of skeletons ran through the door but couldn't slow down in time to avoid hitting the wall.

"That was way too close for comfort." I said, wiping the sweat off my forehead.

I jumped up to my feet and gave a Fang a little fist bump to celebrate our safety. When I went to go look at the necromancer, I noticed he had a shocked look on his face.

"Y-you saved my life?" The necromancer asked.

"Yeah? Why wouldn't I have?" I responded, tilting my head to the side.

I watched as the necromancer's eyes widened for a brief moment, as if he were shocked to hear what I had just said. The necromancer soon began to laugh which caught both me and Fang off guard.

"Did I say something funny?" I asked, looking back to Fang to see if he had any insight. In the end, I was just met with him shaking his head,

"Sorry sorry, it's just that this is the first time in my life that someone other than a family member willingly helped me."

The necromancer stood up and wiped the tears from his eyes. He looked at both me and Fang and gave us a smile which seemed to lighten up the entire room.

"If you ever need my help for anything, you just need to ask."

"I've been meaning to ask but," Fang butted in, "are your skeletons going to be okay? They're all kinda in pieces."

The necromancer looked over at the giant pile of bones that were all clustered around the wall which now had a very visible crack.

"Oh yeah, they'll be fine. After around five minutes they start to reassemble."

Just as the necromancer had said, the skeletons began to reassemble. Within moments, the bones that Fang was holding onto and what was once just a pile of bones by the wall had become a group of skeletons who stared at the three of us.

"They're not gonna start attacking us, are they?" Fang asked, staying on guard while looking at the newly assembled skeletons.

"No, they're aware of everything that just transpired so they know you aren't enemies. Though they might still hold a grudge on you for all the bones you took." The necromancer laughed.

"Earlier you said you'd be willing to help me, right?" I asked.

The necromancer turned towards me, "oh? Do you have something in mind?"

"Two things actually. Firstly, can I keep this book I found in your library?" I asked, pulling the book from earlier out of my bag.

The necromancer looked closely at the book before letting out a small laugh, "by all means. Now, what was your second request?"

"Your name."
