"You two made it out okay! Woah, what's with all the treasure and the two big swords?" Bea ran over to us, eyeing the two swords I was carrying.
Steven was to my left and was carrying a large treasure chest that contained all kinds of shiny gems that varied in color. There were other kinds of treasure but we placed them inside Steven's magic bag. If it weren't for Steven's bag running out of space, we probably would have put the remaining gemstones in there.
"Treasure we got for beating the warrior." I answered, walking past Bea. I removed both swords for their sheaths and readied myself to stab them into the ground as a way to make a makeshift grave for Takamori.
"You sure that's what you want to do? It'd be a waste for two swords like that to go to waste, don't you think? He did say he'd give them to you after all." Steven asked, placing down the treasure chest and walking over to me.
"Yeah, you're right. They're still a little big for me though so I'll wait a bit until using them. I still want to make a grave for him though, y'know as a way to respect his skill with the sword."
Steven stopped and looked like he was thinking to himself, "when this is all over let's return so we can give him a proper grave. As of now, it's getting late so it might be in our best interest to head back to camp."
Bea suddenly jumped in, "That won't work. We're too far away so our best bet is to head towards the town."
I turned towards Bea, "there's a town here?"
Bea nodded her head, "yeah. It guards the bridge that connects this island to the mainland. It has these lamps that ward off the monsters so we'll be safe there."
"Wait," Bea and I turned towards Steven, "wouldn't that mean you can't enter the town either?"
"The monsters get weakened by light so they avoid it. Since I'm not trying to kill anyone, the effects the light causes on me isn't a big deal so I'll be fine." Bea reassured us.
"As long as it doesn't hurt you it's fine with me." I let out a relieved sigh.
Bea nodded her head and turned away from me and Steven and pointed towards something off in the distance, "the town is over in that direction. If we hurry, we can make it before nightfall."
"Let's not waste anymore time here then! Let's get going!"
