Chapter 29

"Wasn't she arrested? how did she get out?" Sarah asked him

"As far as I knew, she wasn't talking and refused to have a lawyer. But a lawyer showed up at the police station and got her out in less than thirty minutes. They couldn't do anything to stop her, and they lost track of her as soon as she left the station." Elias responded,

"She went to them," Sarah muttered, voicing his thoughts "She must have had some kind of deal with them,"

"That's the only thing I can think of, she probably can make a big deal out of how her husband forced her into all this and that she didn't have a choice."

"She always seemed like the perfect image of the submissive wife, so I'm having a hard time imagining her doing something like this. This is bad, Elias. She knows a lot about the research, she won't be able to finish the experiment herself, but she will know what to do."
