Righting the Wrong

"Hey there," Sarah said softly as she sat beside Elias on the bench,

She'd looked for him all over the house only to find him sitting at the bench where they spent the evening the previous night. His shoulders were hunched down and he was leaning forward deep in his thoughts. If the situation hadn't turned south, she would've said that he looked cute.

He looked up and gave her a faint smile projecting the weight on his shoulders

"Regretting it already?" She asked him

Elias snaked his arm on her shoulder and leaned back bringing her with him.

"You think I went overboard in there too?" He asked referring to his outburst earlier asking Ray and Cade to leave.

"I don't know about Cade. But I think Ray honestly wanted to say something," She told him gently

"Cade has always been the type who says things harsher than he feels them. But, I really had no idea that the other family members had this idea of you,"
