Side Story: Ray's Crash Course In Life 39

"No need to apologize, Leilah. I get where you're coming from. I know it must be hard for you to ask us for help. But, I don't want you to put yourself in danger..." Jonas said with a gentle tone

Leilah simply nodded then looked down at her intertwined fingers on her lap. She didn't want to talk about this anymore, she was tired of running from those thugs and she was looking forward to dressing up and attending the gala, and she didn't want that moment ruined by talking about her encounters with those thugs.

Realizing that, Jonas sighed softly, then he looked at her for a moment before returning his gaze to the road.

"Okay, we won't talk about thins for now. But, will you let us help you with this later,"

"Fair enough," Leilah smiled at Jonas.
