Brithney is prepared to go on a Journey with Mr. and Mrs. Julian through a private jet. She has never dreamed of this in her entire life. Sometimes our hopeless situations make us go through expensive moments.
Now Brithney is launching into her expensive moment. She walks into the vast clean jet almost on her toes. Scared she doesn't stain anything.
"There's a private room on your right if you want to rest a little while," Mr. Julian says
She smiles "Thank you, Sir."
He nods with a gentle grin then sits on a cream white chair. Just the sight of the seat alone is comfy. She doesn't hesitate to be in such pleasure as she squirts on hers. It is very welcoming and soft like a water mushroom.
Mr. Julian seats with her husband while a waitress brings a bottle of wine for them.
He walks towards Brithney after serving his master and mistress.
She refuses to be served as she takes the bottle and pours the glittering wine in her glass and sips it.
...
They arrived in Carolina with a freshening of the morning sun. Brithney strengthens her bones and says "See you later" to the plain.
Mrs. Julian hears and decides to keep quiet. Once in the car, she askes.
"Who were you greeting a while ago?"
Brithney blinks her eyes in embarrassment "Uhh"
"That's ok. I just wanted to tease you. Hope you enjoyed your ride"
"Of course I did. Who wouldn't?"
Mrs. Julian smiles back keeping her head high and ahead.
"What are your dreams, Miss. Brithney"
"You can call me Brithney. I'd very much appreciate it. Well, my dreams are to be a tourist."
"Nice." She nods
"If I had a son. He'd be married to you"
She chuckles "Why to say this Mrs. Julian?"
She corrects her statement at once "Julian I meant"
"I see you as a wonderful woman who can change lives with your heart. You're strong, brave, and intelligent."
"Unfortunately, I'm not the woman who marries"
Silence pours between them and Mrs. Julian brings her head to her.
"Why will such a beautiful and able woman like you not marry?"
A slow and almost non-existent grin draws over her tinted full lips. Mrs. Julian patiently waits for her but she hesitantly looks away through the window and to the flashing facilities.
Her answers are very visible now more than ever. She is fully knowledgable and accepts the reason she can't find a man or a loved one. She just can't feel for any male. She lost that feeling from childhood.
"I won't bore you with any of my questions. I'm sorry if I went personal"
"No ma'am- Julian you did what anyone would. I-I just don't know how to answer to that because the thought of it hurts" Brithney is now faced with her apologetically.
"Then you shouldn't answer it. Maybe later when you find assurance. Then I'd be waiting for a response."
She just nods at Mrs. Julian then looks ahead while the ride goes on in deep stillness.
...
Katty has been feeling guilty about her misbehaviors towards Apriva. And the fact they haven't communicated for over 3days torments her flesh. She has given up on her ego and decided to meet up with Apriva.
She tried calling and sensing messages but Apriva doesn't respond to any just like she did with the others.
Recently, with everything going on, they all have their challenges and things are not moving better. No one meets with the other as usual and none of them had time to see Apriva even after her silence.
But she wants to know what could be so wrong with her that she doesn't pick any of their calls or even came over to Ciara when what happened with her transpired.
Arriving at Apriva's junction she slows down and stops in front of her door. She takes a deep breath then dies down her engine before jumping out. She walks down the pavement to her door and pressed on the bell.
It takes almost a minute for Apriva to open just when Katty was about given up to leave. But when their eyes meet, they both halt in their steps and Katty takes a moment to discern Apriva's look.
Apriva was pale as a cancer patient and had a dark circle over her light brown orbit. Her hair looked as messy as the early stages of madness.
Katty's face turned pale just with how unkept Apriva looked at the moment. She mouthed almost inaudibly "Can I come in?"
Apriva nods at once and gives way for her to push herself through before closing the door behind her.
Katty takes another moment to watch the house which is just as unkempt as her best friend.
Apriva strides past her to the floor where Katty's eyes fall on bottles of whiskey and a palette of cigarettes.
Her eyes almost pluck out of their socket as she draws nearer a moody Apri.
"What are you doing to yourself?!"
Apriva doesn't look up but silently wipes her face like a daydreamer.
Katty rested her bag on the couch her best friend leaned against then settled next to her.
She studies her again for more than a second.
"I know I'm the last person you expect to see here. We've been trying to reach out to you but you don't answer us. That's why I had to come to check on you."
Apriva still doesn't move or says a thing.
"Could you please respond to me? What's wrong with you?"
Apriva sighs "I'm sorry I made all of your worries. I just wanted to be alone for a while"
Katty frowns "And this is how alone feeling to you. By drinking and smoking like a harlot?!"
Apriva eyes her at once and she apologizes
"I'm sorry I used that as an example but this is too much. What if you pass out or grow sick as you look now? Who's going to know you're going through all these and call for help?"
"I said I'm sorry. What part of it is not understandable?"
Katty blinks her eyes and realizes that she is pressuring her too hard. And more to that she should be calming her after the dispute they had.
"No, I'm the one to be sorry. I shouldn't have put up with your Insincerity towards me"
"Is that your way of apologizing for trying not to hurt your feelings" Apriva is with her brows crumbled at Katty because of one word 'Insincerity'
"Yes. You were not honest with me. Friends are meant to be honest towards each other. After all, you still hurt my feelings." She muttered honestly with her eyes dazing at the atmosphere.
Apriva looked back at her feet "You're right. I kept complaining about how dishonest you were with yourself but I was even extra. Due to this, I lost connection with all of you. I lost my job"
Katty rolled her head towards her immediately as she continued
"And lost the man I ever loved"
Katty blinked her lids with slight confusion. Why is she talking of Jeol so suddenly? Didn't she want anything to do with him?
"What happened?"
She started sobbing and Katty wrapped her in her arms
"Shush"
"I-I've been so-stupid"
"We have all been stupid once in our lives," Katty says
"I know but this is much worse"
Katty massaged her back over again "That's ok now. Calm down and tell me what went wrong"
Apriva uses her palms over her watery face.
"That's it" Katty assists her in cleaning it off.
Apriva takes a deep breath and out with audible relief.
"It all started with a letter I was given to by Tedd my co-worker. I went through this letter and found out-Jeol is engaged and will soon get married to Brenda"
Katty's brows furrow "Who's Brenda?"
"A co-worker he has been sending messages to for me. However, she has never given me any of them"
"How dare she?!"
Apriva just shakes her head as another drop of tear falls over her painted cheeks.
"I slapped her and-my boss sacked me for violence"
"Those two are complicit. They must have been having an affair! How could he just sack you for teaching that prostitute a lesson? After everything she did!"
"I don't want to think about it. All I want is Jeol. I know I failed him but I want to make things right."
"How could he choose your enemy over you? Like how could he want to marry such a girl?"
"I failed him Katty. If I didn't leave him, he wouldn't be with her. Maybe I deserve it."
"Poor you" she ruffles Apriva's hair.
"So what are you going to do now?"
"I don't know. I scared of facing him."
"I still don't understand why he chose no other girl but that crazy bitch"
"He said it's a tradition that he marries first as the firstborn of the family. Before his brother does. Or else, they must marry together"
"You mean he's older than his twin who will soon get married?"
"Yeah. I guess he moved on and found someone"
"But that's better. You can still make this right. It's so clear he doesn't want to get married to this girl but has no choice to. Meaning he loves you"
Apriva looks at her prudently. She's right. Her words just brought her to her conscious state of mind.
He loves her
