Chapter 1

Luxurious carriages starts crowding the street of the Sandcastle imperial city. People from near and afar came to celebrate the birthday of King Miab. Although the grand celebration is in a week's time, visitors started arriving earlier making the street buzzling with festive mood.

My Prince! my prin.... The young servant choked on his words as he couldn't find the prince in his quarters. The prince is gone again, he informed the guards of the prince's mansion. They were mortified as it is the tenth time the prince has eluded them this month and they will certainly lose their heads if something happens to the prince.

Prince Rein, we should be going back now, if his majesty finds out you snuck out again you will receive much more punishment than the last.

shhh.. do you want everyone to know that I'm a prince? Rein said to his servant. It was the first time Rein has seen so many people crowding the street that used to be empty. In fact, it was only about three months ago, Rein started sneaking out of the palace. In a moments of excitement he accidentally bumped into someone. He looked up to apologise only to see the most beautiful pair of emerald green eyes. "Watch where you're going, stupid peasant", the stranger said interrupting his momentary awe.

The stranger was long gone before Rein came back to his sense and realized how rudely he was spoken too.

**Back at the Prince quarters.**

How dare she call me a peasant? Can you believe she just called me stupid? He vented out to his servants as he paced restlessly back and fourth. Hey!! he pointed at one of the servants, go look for that disrespectful lady.

Oh no you! he pointed to the servant who accompanied him out. Go look for that lady!!.

My prince, the servant said there are lot of people that have arrived in the city for the past few days. There's no chance we can find her.

Useless, Rein said angrily. I will definitely find her myself.

Rein stuck out everyday in hope to find his culprit but to no avail.

My prince, today is the King's birthday banquet, you can't be thinking of sneaking out again, are you?

The King will be announcing you as the crown prince and finally showing you to the people. Please you have to be there.

I will be back before the climax and the announcement, he said as he disappeared into the night. As usual he took his favorite servant in crime with him. This time the streets weren't crowded as before because most people were at the King's birthday banquet. Rein's search was futile and he decided to head back and prepare for the banquet. He returned only to face the horror of his life.
