A Brand New Day
The sounds of birds chirping in the backyard of their house woke Maya up. Somehow, she never woke up to the sound of the alarms. She never needed it. It was like, the sun is up and so is Maya. She finished her morning routine and went to her "hobby" class. Not to lie, she was truly enjoying it. She never had thought that she would be into all these meditations and weird things. But..... we never know.
Today was a normal day like that too... or so thought Maya. She was walking all the way to the class while thinking about her current life. She felt like it was moving too fast. Like, she couldn't remember when was the last time she went on a trip with her parents. It was 4 years ago. After that, neither of her parents had the time to do it. Sometimes when she thinks about those 4 years, she once belives that 4 years is a truly long time and the next moment changes her mind. Never did she spend time on thinking on why this would happen to her.
So, about the past few days.... the black cat never showed up for food again, Maya lost hope in finding it back, her foot was healed completely and.....she couldn't remember anything else.
When she arrived at the building of her class, she saw Agatha talking to someone. It was a tall man with no hair, who had a unique smile. Calming, as what we can call it. He was so tall that Agatha actually had to crane her neck to look at him. Maya shrugged and walked in to the classroom where Emma was already present.
"Hey! Good morning!",Emma greeted Maya.
"Good morning! Did you sleep well?", Maya greeted ger back.
"Yeah, how about you?"
"I slept well too.... Hey, did you complete the project that Agatha asked us to work on?",Maya reminded her.
"Oh, shit. I completely forgot about it.....",Emma faceplamed herself."I don't even remember what it was about...."
"Don't worry, it wasn't any kind of writing work.... we just had to start practicing on establishing a bond with the nature.... Agatha just told us to take a stroll in the garden in the backyard and observe each and every flower carefully...", Maya elaborated.
"Seriously? That's it? Oh god! I was so panicked for no reason! Hahahaha....", Emma chuckled, heaving a relieved sigh.
"So, shall we go to do it until Agatha comes or you would like a punishment from her?",Maya said, laughing.
"Yeah, I mean no, let us go to the garden.",
They went to the garden, still laughing a bit about the conversation.
"This is African Daisy, and this is Ornithogalum also known as 'star of Betlehem'.....",Maya was telling Emma.
"Wow, these names must be in the Spelling Bee competition, I have never heard them in my life before.",Emma said,"but they are pretty, so it's okay."
"You are exaggerating! They are not that hard!",Maya slapped Emma's arm lightly while chuckling.
"Yeah, maybe I am.",Emma admitted,"let's go to that part.... there is lavender too...."
"Sure",Maya agreed to Emma.
They went to the opposite side of the garden and started observing the pretty flowers.
"Look at this beauty, bloomed to it's fullest....",Maya was mesmerized by the flowers beauty.
"Yes, it is really pretty.... I am glad that our opinions match, Maya...."
"Of course they do match. We are friends....",Maya said, still looking at the flowers.
"Hey! Who are you talking to?",Emma asked Maya, confused.
"Are you kidding me? You just replied me and you are asking who I am talking to?",Maya looked back at Emma who was standing at least 2 meters away from her,"weren't you close to me just now?"
"Maya, are you okay? I have been standing here the whole time! I was observing the lavender", Emma said, surprised.
"Stop pranking me, okay? I am not going to fall for it.",Maya said, giving Emma a poker face.
"I swear that I am not pranking you. I am serious.",Emma said.
"Yeah, whatever.",Maya rolled her eyes, not taking Emma seriously.
"Fine, believe what you want to. It is not going to change the truth.",Emma replied,"Anyway, let's go back now. Agatha must've come in the class."
"Yeah, let's go.",Maya nodded and stood up.
Emma was thinking about what happened in the garden. She was truly surprised by the incident. 'I have to tell Agatha about this. She may know what's up with Maya.',she thought to herself.
Agatha came in the room, with a visible frown on her forehead. She mumbled something and put her stuff down on her table.
"We are going to revuse what we had done in the last lecture....",she announced to everyone.
"But, didn't you say that we were to talk about the project you assigned to us in the last week?"Maya responded, slightly disappointed since she worked so hard on the project.
"We will save that for later.... Let's revise....."Agatha said, deadpan.
"Something's wrong...."Emma whispered to Maya.
"Yeah, I think so too..."Maya whispered back. The whole lecture Agatha's behaviour was like that. Maya and Emma both were confused.
Everybody bade goodbye to Agatha and slowly started to depart from the classroom.
"Let's go....",Maya said to Emma.
"Yeah, you should proceed, I will join you in a minute...."Emma replied, remembering that she had to talk to Agatha about Maya.
"Sure..... but hurry, it's getting dark outside...",Maya said, a bit curious about Emma.
As soon as Maya left the classroom, Emma rushed towards Agatha. But before she could say anything, Agatha spoke up.
"We have a problem, sweetie...."
