Chap. 34

Minho's POV;

Finally.

Dawn is almost here.

I can't wait to get back to my precious flower.

When the clicking sound from my cell was heard, I was overjoyed.

"Minho, you can go" one of the guard says and pat my back.

I smiled with a greatful feeling and fly away from the cell.

Halfway to the gate, I was greeted by Jonghyun who fly beside me.

"How're you feeling?" He asked.

"Joyful" I simply answered due to the happiness flowing inside of me.

"Good. You're going down?"

"Yep. You?"

"Same. I'm coming with you"

I wondered off. But didn't ask further questions. We fly down to Earth and made our way to her home. When we did, I sensed something strange.

I didn't care if the door was locked and pushed the door. I see no one except for Key who were still sleeping on the couch.

"Where's Taemin?"

I heard Jonghyun whispered and look at him. Why would Taemin be here?

"Taemin? He was here?"

Jonghyun nodded.

"Yeah. I asked Archy to locate his whereabouts and he said Taemin was here. But his reasons to be here was classified and I have to wait for Art because he's the only one who knows" he explained.

As soon as he explained, we heard someone walked in.

"Minho? Jonghyun?"

We turned around to see Taemin who looked a little pale.

"What happen? You hurt?"

Jonghyun asked and walked to Taemin. He take his hand, and I'm pretty sure he's examining him.

A blue light emerged under Jonghyun's palm, made Taemin look much better.

"Why are your healings power drained?"

Drained? How could--

"Taemin? Kris did this to you?" I asked.

Jonghyun's expression changed drastically.

"Yeah, maybe" was all he said.

I knew it. Only one who has Drain power and it was Kris. He can drained one's power and use it as his own. He can drain it without he or she knows it.

"Minho"

My thoughts were snapped when Taemin shook my shoulders gently.

"There's something I need to tell you"

Judging by his words, there's an uneasy feeling emerged. Something's wrong. I nod my head.

"_____ had to do something to protect us and..."

Taemin seems to be distracted and uncomfortable to continue his words.

"She willingly to follow Kris to save me and tell you--"

"Tell me what??"

"She-she said I have to protect her friend and myself at all cost a-and she will never forget you. Before they disappeared, I heard her thought saying she loves you too and she couldn't bare to see you getting hurt because of her, and all she could to protect you was by following Kris. I am so, so sorry Minho. I can't protect her" Taemin said and lowered his head.

Hearing his explanation almost made me fall to the ground.

She loves me?

All this while, she didn't tell me her feelings?

But hearing him said that, my heart clenched. She'd do that for me. But I can't stand the way she protects me. Why would she follow him?

"Never expect that to happen" Jonghyun chimed.

Without a word, stepping out of the house, I stretched out my wings and fly away.

Jonghyun's POV;

I just watched Minho flew away, leaving only the two of us in the house.

To be honest, I never expect a human girl could do such things to protect an angel. Let alone an ordinary human being.

I turned to Taemin who still looking at his feet. I know he must've feel guilty for not be able to defend her from the Fallen One.

"It's not your fault, Taemin. Believe me, I've been in your place before. So don't take all the burden on your shoulders. She's strong and brave, I'd give her that. Have faith in her" I said to him.

He slowly lift his head and look at me. His eyes shows sadness and grief. What did she do to him?

"You...attracted to her?"

He shook his head.

"I just... Although we only talked for a few minutes, I feel like I've known her for my entire life. Hyung, we have to save her. She can't be with Kris"

Does this girl really matter to them? I feel usual around her.

Nevertheless, it's our job to protect and save human beings.

"We will"

"But hyung, what are we gonna do about him?"

Taemin asked and glance to the guy who still asleeps.

"We'll just take some of his memories until she comes back"

Taemin nodded and I let him does the work.

I wonder. What was so special about _____ until Kris wants her for himself?

Strange.
