Chap. 70 (Final)

Tao began to smell something fishy when he rarely saw Kris nor _____ around the house anymore. All he saw was Mrs. Graye and Hara. He suspected Kris had taken her away and maybe he knew about Luhan...

"Babe, what're you doing here?"

He spun around to see Aviana came from the kitchen elegantly and walked up to him. Tao pulled her in and kissed her neck, leaving a few licks here and there. Aviana purred in his arms.

"Those two..." he whispered. He pulled away and led Aviana from anyone who will eavesdropping on them. Arriving to their hidden place of the house, he led her into the room and closed the door. Tao grabbed her face and began kissing Aviana as he pushed her on the couch aggressively. He was attacking her neck leaving kisses.

"Ooh, already forgetting about me now, are we?"

Tao instantly spun around to see Luhan sitting on the bed with the calm look on his face. A glass of champagne was in his hand. He sipped it slowly but his eyes never left Aviana. He had sense something from her but couldn't quite figure it out yet.

"What are you doing here?"

"Babe, who's he?"

Tao sat beside her and pulled her close.

"This is Luhan. My partner"

"Who are you, woman?" Luhan asked quickly. His glare was so venomous Aviana could only gulped the lump in her throat. This man is seriously dangerous to mess with.

"She's Aviana" Tao replied on behalf of her. Seeing her reaction towards Luhan had confirmed to him that Luhan had grown stronger. Even Aviana feared him.

Luhan felt something was off because the aura that was radiating off of her was...overwhelming but he decided to let it slip.

"I think it's time" was all Luhan said.

Minho was guarding her parents when the Earth suddenly shake thunderously, making everyone panicked and started to take a shelter under their tables. Minho went through the glass windows and flew outside just to see thousands of demons that was trying to break its way into the Earth's atmosphere. Good thing Minho had sent an early precautions to Onew to have the Earth shield and protected by the ones that had mastered the Arts of Spell.

Just then the sky was decorated with a snow that made humans fall asleep and angels that came down was assigned to watch over every regions they could cover. With his eagle eyes, Minho saw Taemin was protecting Key's family.

Jonghyun and Onew flew by beside Minho and stared at the demons. One of them caught their eyes and they were surprised to see Luhan standing majestically among his legions. His face was smug and his eyes were poring deeply on the Earth and smiled. He knew the angels would protect the humans at all costs, let it be paid with meaningful death rather than standing idly by.

"Isn't that-"

"Luhan?"

Minho didn't reply but his gaze was still searching for someone that could aid them in battle but he couldn't find them.

"Hey, they'll be here" Onew gave him a reassuring squeeze on his shoulder and Jonghyun followed suit.

"I'm sure that pumpkin will come" he said.

"TRY AS YOU MIGHT! YOU CANNOT DEFEND YOURSELF WITHOUT THOSE ARTS!" Luhan's voice was booming and could be heard by every single angels in the world and they were ready for it.

Luhan had his hand towards the Earth and focused all his power into the palm of his hand and a burst of lightning strike the barrier. When it hit the barrier, the Earth once again met with a thunderous shake and the barrier was finally cracked. The demons didn't waste any time and went straight to Earth. Blood curdling screams were heard from them as they were attacking the angels and started to search for humans.

Most of the angels that was assigned on Earth had mastered the Art of Spells and in hand-to-hand combat so it was very helpful for them to endure the battle. The angels that left behind in the Kingdom was also giving them help by alerting them every second where would the demons attacked.

The angels were trying their best to protect the humans but the demons would always try to distract them and would make a way for it but the numbers weren't lessening although they did wiped half of the legions as they kept on coming.

Minho was slaying the demons that was coming for her parents and would use his spell to take them away. He didn't finish his Art of Spell just yet but he successfully protect them and himself. Jonghyun was in the air trying to keep them occupied with Onew by his side. He combined his power with Onew and created a blast of blue light, casting them to the hole where Luhan had hit it with the lightning.

Luhan flew down like a bullet and appeared in front of them both, stopping them from casting the blue light. "I won't let you stop my armada" he smirked and grabbed Onew's throat before throwing him away to his hungry legions.

"No!" Jonghyun couldn't save him and could only watch him being stabbed over and over again. Luhan was gripping his neck and he was a lot stronger than Jonghyun.

"Say bye bye to your rank General"

Just then something so quick flew by him and knocked Jonghyun off from his grip. Luhan anxiously looked around to see who it was but to no avail. He was frustrated because whoever it was managed to escaped.

"Good to see you Jonghyun!"

"Pumpkin!!"

She just smiled and let Jonghyun fly beside her. Jonghyun was amazed with her powers and he could feel it just by flying so close to her.

"Thanks though" he smiled appreciatively.

"Don't thank me yet!" She said and fly away to help others. Her powers were now could be controlled. Afterwards, she dashed towards Onew who was almost getting stabbed by the sickening legions and brought him away; killing the demons before she flew off.

"Afraid of little something, pal?"

Luhan let out a huff as he turned around to see Kris with his complete battle attire. He found it in his basement and recall that he never did kept anything but he still wear it.

"You" Luhan said through his gritted teeth.

Then, emerged _____ beside Kris. Her wings and Kris's were almost the same but he could feel so much power surging in her veins.

"I knew you'd be here" Luhan suddenly smirked and snapped his fingers.

_____'s neck was gripped and a shot of pain was felt once the person gripped it.

"_____!" Kris roared as he saw Tao was gripping her neck with something in his hand.

Her body began to limped and Tao brought her close to Luhan.

"Finally..." Luhan held her neck as if she was the most fragile thing in the world before sank his teeth. Blood began emerged from the outline of his lips as he sank them deeper in her neck and she tried even harder to break free from his grasp.

"____!!"

Minho shouted and quickly flew to get her but he couldn't because Kris was holding him back by his collar.

"No, hyung! She'll be dead if I-"

"Minho stop!"

Kris leaned to Minho's ear and whispered.

"You'll ruined the surprise"

Minho turned to him confused but when he saw Kris's reassuring look, he felt himself on ease as he slowly trusting him.

"You taste so good..." Luhan said while licking the residue of the blood that was trickling down. His eyes lingered to her lips and abruptly stopped licking when he saw the end of her lips were quirking upwards.

"Tastes good huh?" She said.

Luhan was surprised to see her still alive; no creature will survive that after he killed them. His throat began to feel so dry and coughed something out. He let go of her and she fell freely in the air without making the attempt to fly.

Minho dashed to her direction and caught her in his arms before flying back to his group.

"Look who we have here! The one with the Healer's Heart" Art chimed in.

"Hello, I'm Art and the other is Archie. Nice to meet you in person," Art greeted with a smile and patted her head.

"Where is Archie?" She asked as she saw no one there beside him.

"Archie is another him, if he comes out, all hell will break loose" Onew replied.

"That's Archie" Kris piped in and Art was really surprised to see him there.

"Kris! I mean, my Prince" Art quickly bowed his head but Kris pushed his shoulders slowly and gently.

"I'm no longer a Prince, only a fallen Angel" Kris said.

"HOW DARE YOU TRICKED ME!"

Luhan's voice was booming once again when he figured out that he was sucking a sap of a tree instead blood. A sap was the only weakness a demon has and it will make them vulnerable.

"You! How does she know this? This was supposed to be only our ears!" He growled to Tao who was dumbfounded than ever. Tao was recalling the moments of them planning....

"If I catch her, you have to kill her right away before she strikes. She is getting stronger and I don't think Kris is going to join us anymore. That girl has taken his heart and it would be impossible if we tried to persuade him to join us again."

Tao was drafting his ideas while Aviana was checking and cleaning her nails. Tao knew she wasn't interested in all of this and let her does her own business.

"What's her weak spot?" Luhan asked because if he wanted to deal with the most strongest creature, he would have to know their weaknesses first.

"Her parents, Key, Kris, Minho and his friends, but mostly Minho"

"Key's dead I presumed?"

"Yes, that bastard took the knife for her and she just disappeared with him"

"Hm, we just have to use her friends"

"Can't do. Her powers had made them stronger" Tao said, wondering the greatness of having the Healer's Heart.

"If you see me as if defeated, I want you to take my place because I know you know something better than me"

"I will not let you down"

"I'm thirsty, care for some water babe?" Aviana asked as she stood up.

"Yeah and I'm sure Luhan would want some too"

"Alright" Aviana replied and went to the kitchen. A few minutes later, she came back with a tray of drinks and put it on the table.

"Here you go" she said while giving a fresh of orange juice to Luhan and her boyfriend.

"Can I go? I'm bored" said Aviana beside Tao, fluttering her lashes.

Tao smiled and understand that Aviana didn't like this sort of meeting.

"Yeah of course"

Aviana bowed her head slightly to Luhan before she went to the door and disappeared.

"Your girlfriend is pretty decent to me" said Luhan while sipping on his drink. Tao did the same and felt a little strange about her but decided to let it slipped off.

"Hey ____!"

When Tao called her, Luhan suddenly stabbed him in the chest so hard with a dagger; he continued to plunged it deeper until blood began to emerged endlessly.

"Why...are you...(groaned) doing this? I thought we're in this together?"

Tao couldn't properly say the words because the pain was too much for him to bear.

"You s-s-said to me I should t-take your place if-"

"There's no such thing" Luhan smiled wickedly. It was never in his plans sharing his victory together with anyone. He wanted it alone. Luhan's eye color began changing from dark brown to light yellow as he stared at Tao for a moment and let Tao fell freely with the dagger still in his heart.

____ saw for a flicker moment that passed and was about to save him but Minho flew right in front, stopping her from going.

"No- what're you doing Minho!?"

"Hold on ___! Pull yourself together! That's not him!"

She didn't believe it but as she tried to look closer, it was confirmed to her that the guy who was falling was definitely Key.

"Please Minho.." Tears began trickling down as guilt slowly eating her from the inside. She couldn't save Key before but maybe if she save him now-

"Listen to me, angel," Minho cupped her face and bore into her eyes, "Key's gone. And if you save him now, it will be a lot worse because that's not him at all," Minho said gently yet firmly, hoping she would understand. Minho was actually afraid of her current state when Tao was looking a lot like Key. This would meant she would be entering a vulnerable phase that allows enemy to take the heart away.

"No please...." She pleaded as the body was getting closer to the ground.

"Minho, let me" Kris offered and took her hand.

"If you're going, I'm coming too" said Minho. Jonghyun and Onew came behind him and nodded.

"No, I won't let you. I made this mess and let me deal with it" Kris said with a guilt in his voice.

"As if we care? I don't think so" Jonghyun replied smugly but eventually smiled in the end.

"Like we ever let you go alone" Onew added.

Kris was speechless; the brothers were dead set on going with him to deal with a lunatic monster rather than letting him go alone after what he had done.

"Still stubborn eh?" Said Kris with a grin.

"Ooh, don't leave me out of this fight"

Taemin blinked beside them.

"No, nuh uh" Jonghyun shake his head, declining Taemin's offer.

"I'm not asking for permission hyung- woah is that her? She's super fast"

All of them turned and saw she was no longer there. When their eyes found her, they immediately dashed towards her who was trying to grab Tao.

____ finally caught him by the hand just inches above the ground and pull him back up. "Let him go ___!"

She didn't have the chance to see who it was because her body felt weak and a stinging pain was suddenly felt in her torso. When she looked down, Tao was smirking while his right hand still hold onto the dagger. He took this opportunity to take her down in her vulnerable state and he didn't waste it.

"Ugh..." She groaned in pain and almost letting go of Tao but she has another plan.

'Anyone could have this heart, but it depends on them whether they can withstand it or not'

She remembered what Kris had said and pulled Tao by the collars. Months of gruelling her powers and enhancing it was worth her time and she had practice some of it out of Kris's presence. She timed it right.

"You want it so much? Then take it"

Shocked, Tao was filled with the growing power in him as she firmly put her palm on his heart, channeling all her powers into him and felt herself became dizzy.

"What is she doing??" Jonghyun required.

"She's transferring her powers into him!" Kris left them as quickly as possible as his hand extended in attempt to snatched her away.

"Well done Tao! But unfortunately I have to kill you" Luhan was about to fly over to Tao but his way was blocked by the four angels. All of them with serious look on their face.

"Try as you might, Luhan" Minho provoked.

Luhan despised provocative attitude so when Minho said that, it was like throwing a gas into a raging fire.

"We won't let you go that easy" Taemin added. He was more than confident to fight Luhan. Although he just listened about Luhan through stories, he had never thought he would fight with him today.

When she was done, Kris pulled her back and kicked Tao in the chest hard but Tao was fast to regained his composure. He felt stronger than before. He felt glory about it.

"Finally it's mine!"

He laughed menacingly.

Luhan found a way to get to Tao and grabbed him by the neck.

"Such a traitor!"

"Why say such things when you're the one got the title first?" Tao replied.

Kris brought her down to the ground and all of them gathered around her. Her wounds were deep and she couldn't lift her hands anymore. Her eyes fluttered opened because she felt like a rock was sitting on it.

Minho crouched closer to her, pulling her to him.

How he miss to hold her but not in this current circumstances. It truly crushed him on the inside to see her like this.

"Angel? Talk to me, please, please, open your eyes" Minho pleaded.

Kris looked at her with glassy eyes. He needed to do something. With one last look to his friends, he slowly retreated and fly towards Luhan and Tao who was fighting.

"Tao!!"

With a single punch to his face, Tao was stumbling back and Kris was avoiding the dagger from Luhan who was trying to stab Kris but the Fallen Angel was too good at it.

"Min... Minho?" She croaked out. It was hard to spit that one word because every breathe she took was like having her heart being stabbed again. Minho's hands was wrapped around hers. Taemin was quiet all the time standing behind Jonghyun while Onew could only watch with sympathy flooding in his system.

"I'm here, angel, that's very brave of you to help us" said Minho who was trying hard holding back tears.

"Thank you Minho, for staying with me all these years" she whispered. A tear rolled down her cheek. The pain was becoming unbearable every second.

"It's my job, I can't leave you alone, not after what happened to us," Minho replied.

"Mm.. That sounds really pervy," she managed to let out a chuckle. Minho laughed with her response but it didn't make him any better.

"Don't leave us, pumpkin" Jonghyun finally blurted his words.

"I'm s..sorry, Minho, guys," she couldn't take it as the pain began to consumed all of her. Her eyes were closing and soon after, her body limped in Minho's arms.

It was a devastating fact the girl he loved had gone for only one reason; the Healer's Heart. Taemin silently broke in tears, Jonghyun sneakily sniffed and Onew was feeling a lump in the back of his throat. Minho cried his heart out and bury his face in her neck, inhaling her scent for the very last time.

Kris saw this, during the fight, his heart shattered to a million pieces but surprised when Tao suddenly got a hold of Luhan.

"Unhand me you fool!" Luhan yelled but Tao's grip was so strong he couldn't quite get himself out of it. Tao felt a surge of control and he was surprised by it.

"It wasn't me!" He shouted back.

Out of the sudden, a light was bursting out of Tao making Luhan startled and scared for his life, but Tao wouldn't let him go. Instead pulling him closer as if he didn't want to die alone. Kris had to shield his eyes from the blasting light. Every creature on Earth couldn't see it because it was so bright and the booming sound filled the skies.

When it was safe, Kris looked at them, only to look at the clouds. Both of them were vanquished by the light and Kris finally understood. ____ had used her trick that even Kris had never thought it would worked. Kris looked down, watching from above Minho hugged her limped body and knew she was gone. The demons were all scattering away, fear for their lives when their leader had been defeated in the battle they thought they could have won easily.

"Jonghyun, don't let them go away" Minho whispered and Jonghyun listened attentively. One thing he could to avenge her death was to kill the remaining demons until none of them was left behind. Without saying anything, Jonghyun flew up to the sky and chased every single one of them. 

Onew squeezed Minho's shoulder in assuring manner before followed Jonghyun. Taemin didn't wanted to go anywhere but to be there for Minho and ____.

"She was a great person, hyung," Taemin said with sadness in his tone.

"She is..." Minho felt his world was crushed. The reason of his existence was to make sure the human population wasn't corrupted by the demons and being slayed by them but with her...everything changed. Now he needed to make her parents forget everything about her and Key's too.
