Chapter Fourteen.

"Thank you for taking me to meet the children. It was wonderful. I'm happy you took me there," Zawadi told Lucas, as he dropped her off. They had just arrived at Zawadi's place. She was tired but she was also happy.

The day had been wonderful, the way the children had shown her love, the way they had treated her like a friend, like she belonged with them, it was the most amazing feeling she ever had.

"You are a really good person " Zawadi told Lucas, hugging his torso, "What you did to those kids was even more than the doctors combined could have done"

He kissed her hair before saying, "I was lucky to have been adopted by my mother, she gave me a chance, therefore I vowed to always help out when I can"he said. She shivered which he noticed"Let's get you in , you are cold"he led her into the house.

"How do you know the kids? " Zawadi inquired. Moving back a little to see his face.

"Some are from poor families and their parents don't have the money to pay for their treatment while others are from the orphanages I own" he said then smiled at her.

"You are an angel. I wish I could impact on someone's life the way you do theirs. They were so happy, and they love you so much. " she sighed and tightened her hold on him.

"You are the angel here love, you made them so happy today, and I'm sure they love you too" he kissed her hair.

"You think so?" she asked, her voice slightly above a whisper.

"I know so. Now go inside. Have a good night baby and dream of me " he winked at her making her giggle.

"Good night Lucas"she said.

Then he waved goodbye and left.

Lucas stared blankly at the ceiling. His mind was clouded with Zawadi.

He clearly remembered how she interacted with the children. She was happy and she had made them happy.

He remembered how her lips flicked out to lick the chocolate cake smeared all over her hands.

He had observed her, every move of hers. He had been with her for hours, he had had her in his arms less than an hour ago but still...

Still he missed her, still he craved her presence, her touch, her smile. He knew what it was like to be hungry, for food, for water... for a woman.

But this hunger, no this raw painful needed, he had never experienced. He had wanted to wait, to go at her pace but that was proving difficult.

Every time she held him, he felt the need to make her his, to take her, but he had suppressed it.

For patience he knew would pay and she would very soon be fully his. He had refrained from kissing her, but he knew that there would come a time when he would take more than a kiss. A time when both of them would want more than a kiss.

And he was going to wait, no matter how long it took. He wouldn't want to hurt her or make her uncomfortable with his needs.

She was a fragile woman. She needed to be shown gentleness. Even her body was smaller, compared to his 6'2 she was only5'2 therefore he was a foot taller than her.

But she was still beautiful, with her big brown eyes and her long eyelashes, she looked like his dream come true.

She could have men falling at her feet, but she was still humble. He was a billionaire, money wasn't a problem, but every woman who had ever looked at him had only ever seen his millions and not himself. But that was until Zawadi.

She never cared for his millions. She hadn't even bothered to ask him for some money. In fact, she hadn't liked him spending a lot of money on her.

Even that set her apart from the other women he had known.

Zawadi carelessly striped out of her clothes. With a smile on her face she threw them beside her bed. She was so happy, and the reason, well it was obviously Lucas.

The way he treated her, like she was made of porcelain. He never failed to make her happy, to care for her.

Sometimes he was gentle with her, achingly so, that she wanted to remind him that she was a strong woman.

She knew she truly was lucky. He was a billionaire, but still he acted like he wasn't. Every time he opened his mouth to speak or did something he proved to her that her initial thought about rich people was wrong.

She had initially thought that all of them were arrogant, obnoxious and conceited.

He had an ego yes, just like anyone else but he knew when and when not to say something or do something.

He had constantly showed her with his touch and look that he truly wanted her. she had seen desire in his eyes, she had seen him suppress them, she had seen emotions she never thought she would ever see in someone's eyes for her.

Of course she liked him, that much she had confessed but she was afraid that it was quickly turning to more than just 'like '.

Every time he looked at her she felt her heartbeat quicken, every time he was closer to her, she felt heat rush throughout her body.

She was more than attracted to him and that was the truth. Despite the fact that nothing was official between them yet, she wanted to make sure what they had last. If it took action, then she would act, if it took patience then she would wait. But she would make it last.

She would wait as long as forever, only for him.

She climbed under the covers and switched off the lights. She turned on her side and closed her eyes.

With Lucas on her mind, she closed her eyes and let sleep take her.
