Zawadi stretched as she turned on the bed. She groaned when Lucas opened the curtains wide.
"No" she whined as she hurried her face into the pillow.
"Get up cupcake " Lucas whispered in her ear, leaving a gentle kiss.
"No, let me sleep some more " she groaned.
"No way, we have to see the wedding planner, remember? " he said shaking her lightly.
"I know but she's not going anywhere, let me sleep some more."
"No, we are already late, don't you remember you insisted on having this appointment? "
"I know, I'll get up" she said as she got up rubbing her eyes.
"Come over? let's shower together " he suggested.
"No, you just said we'll be late. Showering together will make us even more late"
"Come on don't be like that" he said stalking towards her. As usual there was a rush of excitement going through her veins. She didn't know why but every time he did that, she ended up excited.
Taking her lower lip between her teeth, she peered up at him. "Now you are the one with wild imaginations. I just want to shower "he shrugged a smirk playing on his handsome face .
"I am not thinking anything, I just know what you mean when you suggest we shower together " she said as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
"And what do I mean? Please enlighten me "he asked mischievously, drawing her close by the waist till there was no space between them.
"Showering together is a waste of water and you know it, not to mention time. You said we'd be late if we stayed longer so let's go " she said and slipped from his hold before rushing towards the bathroom.
"Get out" she squealed when he entered before she could close the door.
"You know you don't want me to" he said with a smirk as he made his way past her, stripping out of his clothes.
Of course she had her gaze fixed on his body. But wasn't it always the same when he looked at her like that?
Like she was the only woman on the planet. Like she was the last drop of water in the dessert. And she couldn't lie, it managed to get her flustered every time.
"Don't do that" he suddenly said bringing her out of her trance.
"D-do what? " she wasn't even sure why she had stuttered.
"Don't look at me like that" he said stalking towards her.
"Like what" It came out as a whisper, Her Voice husky.
"Like you want me to do things to you" he said.
She gasped but kept her eyes on his bare chest. "I wasn't " she defended weakly.
"Yes you were" he said before laying a passionate kiss on her lips.
"We will be late" she said without pulling away completely..
"We are late already, she will understand. Jump" he instructed and she followed immediately, wrapping her legs around his waist.
He held kissed her again, taking her back to their room.
"Don't worry, I won't take to long " he said with a wink.
Moments later there were on their way to the planners office, with Zawadi constantly blaming Lukas for the fact that they were late.
"This is all your fault " She told him for the hundredth time.
"Really? I don't remember you complaining " he said easily walking behind her.
"Good morning, Mr Steele, Miss Mwamba. " the wedding planner greeted.
"Good morning Jane, I am so sorry we are late, someone doesn't know how to keep time"Zawadi said her gaze wandering to Lukas who let out a small laugh.
"It's okay. Please, have a seat " Jane said, motioning towards the seats before her with her hands.
"Thank you" Lucas said, pulling out a chair for Zawadi who gave him a grateful smile.
"So, what is the theme for your wedding, if you guys have one" Jane said
"We just want something modern, with a touch of tradition" Zawadi said.
"I am good with whatever she decides" Lucas said squeezing Zawadi's hand.
"You know what, just surprise us, though the colour should be red. I have always dreamed of having red everywhere on my wedding day. Just make the decorations red. And add lots of flowers, I love flowers. " Zawadi added.
After meeting the planner, Lukas went back to his office. Zawadi went on with her investigation. If she was going to take down the Mwambas she was going to need every bit of information about them she could get..
So she went to her father's office, hopping that someone would tell her what she needed to know.
"Hi, I am Zawadi Mwamba. I am here to see my father, Mr Charlie Mwamba, is he around? It's quite urgent " she said stressing the word father.
"I am sorry ma'am, Mr Mwamba isn't in at the moment " the receptionist said.
"Oh, no problem. Is it okay if I wait for him in his office? " Zawadi asked sweetly.
"Can I get your Identity card madam. It's just that Mr Mwamba never told us that his daughter would be coming in. "
"You think I am lying? " she asked pretending to be hurt. "Here" she showed her identification none the less.
"It's the second office to your left" the receptionist said.
"Thank you, Zawadi said making her way to the office.
She got in and locked the door. She immediately started looking into the files around the office. She needed something, anything that would incriminate Charlie. She had gone through so many files and was almost giving up.
She heard footsteps coming towards the office so she rushed to sit down. While rushing she hit her foot on his father's desk, she swore as she caressed her foot. She saw a file fall from under the desk and put it into her hand bag.
She would check it out later after all it had to be important to be hidden away.
She sat down just as the door opened to reveal Charlie.
"Hi, dad" she greeted sweetly.
"What are you doing here? " He asked coldly.
"
