Potential Further Unleashed! Overdrive: Mode Two!

I finally finished my Work Studies with Mirko, I have to say, it was quite the interesting time! I worked quite a lot with Kasai since he came along with Mirko and I during our patrols. I'm going to continue training with Kasai as well! As I tried to go to bed for the night, I heard my dorm room door open.

"Hey, it's me." Momo spoke up.

I smiled at her as she walked into my room then cuddled up with me. She looked at my lower left side and gently rubbed it.

"Are you still sore there, darling?" She wondered.

"Not as much as I was a couple days ago. Mr. Aizawa and Kasai-san still want me to take it easy though for a bit longer." I told her.

"Hmm... Taking it easy, huh? Well, how about we dine out tomorrow? There's quite the exquisite restaurant nearby that you and I can go to!" Momo suggested.

I turned over on my side towards her, "I don't see why we can't have a night out, that sounds pretty fun!"

[The Next Night...]

"You two have fun! Don't do anything too crazy!" Hagakure yelled to us.

We waved at them and walked outside of U.A. We didn't really need anyone to drive us there, it was only a few blocks away. Plus, it was really nice out.

"So, how's Japan been for you?" She questioned.

"Well, despite the whole villain situation, my father being killed, and the possibility of another villain attack around every corner, I think it's been pretty nice." I responded.

She nodded her head, "What was America like? If you remember, that is, it's fine if you don't remember a whole lot."

"From what I remember, it wasn't that bad. Pretty calm, but not that bad." I answered.

"Is it calmer than this?" Momo said with a bit of a laugh.

I laughed with her, "Eh, no. Probably about the same? Maybe?"

We got to halfway to the restaurant and... I felt that Heat Energy...

"Momo, I hate to bring this up but, how long would it take for you to make some type of weapon? Any type, really." I quietly asked.

"What? Why? Is something wrong?" She replied.

"I just felt his Heat Energy. But we're in a crowd of people, so we should be fine." I whispered.

"Who? What are you-" Momo tried to ask.

I heard his voice; he already knew we were here!

"Hello, again, Alyx. Who's this you've got with you?" He wondered.

"T-That's not important. Who in the hell even are you? Why are you following me?" I retorted.

"Hmm, I figured it was true. Well, let me remind you, little brother." He smirked

Little brother?! Wait, I knew it! This has gotta be Kariya!

"He's your brother?" Momo exclaimed.

"That's correct. I'm not surprised that you don't remember me. When you were born, we all were one, big, happy family. Until you started developing that damn Quirk of yours! You got the strongest variant, and immediately got the spotlight! I knew I was never going to compare to you!" His Overdrive started to surround him intensely.

"You were the Golden Child! I was outcast by your damn shine! It never was Kariya Leonidus! Never!" He yelled.

The crowd behind us began to panic, but they couldn't move out of fear. Momo and I got closer together, ready to fight!

"I don't remember a whole lot anymore, but I can tell you right now, that's bullshit! They wouldn't do that to you! The way I seen it, we were ALL happy!" I shouted.

I activated my Mode One, and Momo held a huge mallet that she created while Kariya and I were talking. Kariya flew down from the air and hit me in the face, I rebounded as the crowd watched.

"What are you all doing?! Get out of here before you get hurt!" I yelled at them.

They all ran for safety, I saw Kariya and Momo going at it. I didn't think Momo would be able to keep up with him, but she was doing a great job! She was swinging that mallet around like it was just a regular hammer! All while in heels too! I rushed in and kicked Kariya in the side, which sent him flying.

"You alright?" I asked Momo.

"Yeah, I'm fine!" She responded.

Kariya pulled himself off a wall, and brushed himself off, "Not too bad, you've gotten better, Alyx. That little girlfriend of yours is strong too."

In a flash he was in front of us, "Too bad I'm going to kill you both!"

He knocked both of us away and into the ground with some sort of whip made of his Overdrive. My clothes got torn just a bit and the bottom of Momo's dress was torn as well, I felt at my chest and noticed a slash mark that was bleeding. I noticed that one of Momo's eyes were shut, she must've got hit by that Overdrive whip there. Geez, that whip was sharp! Momo and I got up, then, I heard a voice of a child.

"H-Hey! Leave them alone!" The kid pleaded.

I thought everyone left? This wasn't good, I looked over at the kid and then Kariya. He had some sort of sinister grin on his face.

"Hey kid, how would you like to join them?!" He yelled.

Kariya darted after the kid, and the kid screamed in terror with his hand's above his face. I quickly punched him in the face, he slid backwards away from the child.

"How dare you!?" I yelled.

"What in the hell is wrong with you?!" Momo added.

I stood in front of the kid. "Y-You... You took everything our parents had for granted... Because of my Quirk... Instead of improving yourself!"

I felt my blood boil, how could he do this? Why in the hell was he using me as an excuse to act like an idiot?

"Then... you target me and the people around you... How dare you..." I fumed.

I felt my Overdrive get more and more intense.

"Alyx?" I heard Momo call my name.

I couldn't hold my anger in anymore, my blood was just boiling!

"You want me mad?" I asked Kariya.

I clenched both of my fists, "WELL I'LL GIVE IT TO YOU!"

A surge of power fell over me! I felt my scar on my left eye become engulfed with Overdrive. I could tell something was different, this had to have been Mode Two!

"Oh? This is new." Kariya noted.

Momo and I walked forward, I touched Momo and gave her some of my Overdrive.

"We're ending this, Kariya!" Momo yelled.

"Come on, then. Try it." Kariya grinned.

Momo and I flew into action, we knocked Kariya into the air.

"Throw me!" She shouted at me.

I threw Momo towards him and she sent him flying down with her giant mallet! Kariya bounced up from the impact and I kicked him down further into the ground. Kariya burst through the ground with a barrage of Overdrive blasts. I put up a shield and we pushed through towards him. Momo and I let loose a barrage of attacks against Kariya, jumping one place to another! Momo created a chain mace and hit the side of his head! But Kariya grabbed the chain and threw Momo into a nearby car! I launched my knee as hard as I possibly could into Kariya's back! I sent him flying into the air, I flew up after him and he launched an Overdrive whip at me.

"Counter Burst!" I yelled.

I deflected his attack and it hit him full force back into the ground. Momo rebounded and joined me in the air. I put both arms out to the side and then back inwards.

"Mind if I help?" Momo asked.

"Sure thing!" I replied.

As I was charging up my Diamond Buster, Momo created her explosive dolls.

"Diamond Buster: Explosive Doll Barrage!!" Momo and I shouted.

We launched our Diamond Buster/Explosive Doll combination and it worked! Kariya was laid out unconscious after the smoke and dust cleared.

"H-Hey... We... We did it!" Momo smiled.

I smiled with her, "So much for his whole "I'll kill you both" bullshit."

The police arrived and took Kariya into custody, I told them to not worry about it, but they said they had some questions for him.

"Damn, so much for our date, huh? Sorry about that, I didn't think I'd run into him again." I apologized.

"Actually, that was kind of fun. Not exactly the romantic evening I had in mind, but fun." She told me.

We looked up at the sky, I didn't even notice that we were on some cliff side part of town. It was... beautiful.

"You just want to get some cup noodles from that store over there and head home?" I asked.

"God yes, I'm exhausted. I really don't want to have to deal with waiting for food. Plus, we look awful." Momo responded.

We went into the store, and the rush of cold air from inside felt fantastic.

"Good...Evening... Are you two alright?" The cashier asked us.

"We're fine, just very exhausted is all." Momo reassured the cashier.

We bought the noodles and headed back to the dorms.

"Eh, maybe our date wasn't ruined after all." I said to Momo.

She smiled back at me and grabbed my hand. We walked back down the street almost as if nothing ever happened. We got back to the dorms at around 10:00. Mina, Kirishima, Sato, and Tokoyami were all still awake.

"Oh, my goodness! What happened? You two look like a mess!" Mina gasped.

"Well, we ran into Sudden Death, and it turns out he's Alyx's older brother. So, our date night turned into a huge fight against a maniac." Momo explained.

"We got cup noodles though, so that made up for it!" I laughed.

"Well, we can leave you two alone! I made some cupcakes; they should be on the table if Kirishima here didn't eat 'em all." Sato said.

"Hey, what can I say? They tasted amazing, man!" Kirishima replied.

They all went upstairs as Momo and I were making our cup noodles. "So, I've got a question."

"Hm? What is it?" I asked as I set down her cup noodles.

"Love... How do you even... Use that Diamond Buster move?" She asked me.

I sat there in a trance; I was so mind-numbingly tired that I didn't even know the answer.

"Good question, I honestly don't know... Maybe like... I really don't know." Momo and I laughed.

Eventually, when I got finished with my noodles and threw them away, I looked over to see Momo asleep. I walked over to her and picked her up, as I was walking towards the stairs, I heard her whisper to me in a sleepy voice.

"Alyx... Can... Can I sleep with you tonight...?" She asked.

"Sure... Sure." I sleepily responded.

We got upstairs to my room, I tucked her into my bed, and I walked over to my desk. I looked at the earring that boy gave me.

"Thank you, forever and always." I said to myself.

I got into bed and cuddled up next to Momo. This was the happiest I've felt in a long time. Momo seemingly shot up from her sleep to tell me something.

"Did I tell you that I was in a commercial?" Momo asked.

"Y-You... You were in a commercial?" I somnolently wondered.

She nodded and pulled her phone out. Momo showed me this commercial for "UNERI Hairspray." As soon as I seen her, my eyes widened.

"Pause it right there, please." I told her.

She did and looked at me, "What's wrong?"

I sat there and stared at her phone, I was so tired that I couldn't think of what to say, it took me a while to formulate something. Then finally, something hit me.

I pointed at her on her phone, "W-Who's... Who's that girl right there? She's fine as hell, I'd be one lucky dude if I was dating her. Oh... Wait..."

"Did it really take you that long to think about that?" Momo giggled.

"Listen, I'm tired, you gotta cut me some slack here." I laughed.

Momo cuddled up next to me and rested her head on my chest, "Goodnight, darling."

"Goodnight, my love." I smiled.

I closed my eyes and felt as if I slept for about 5 minutes. I opened them and found myself staring at my ceiling at 1 in the morning. Momo was still asleep, I moved an inch, she opened her eyes as latched onto me.

"Is something wrong?" Momo whispered.

"Oh... No, I just can't sleep." I replied.

"Here, come here, darling." She told me.

I moved closer to her, she created some sort of cold pack that sat down in the middle of us.

"Ah, okay, I guess I was overheating a little bit. Hmm... So, you're using a cold element to help me sleep better, but not too cold. If I remember correctly, the perfect temperature is 18.3 degrees Celsius, but I definitely feel hotter than that. That's rather diligent! This should help me maintain my sleep especially being that I'm in a comfortable environment!" I observed.

"I'm going to be honest, the way you just spoke was rather arousing, Alyx." Momo admitted.

I was extremely confused, arousing? Momo started giggling as she looked at me confused face.

"Love language, darling, love language." She smiled.

I was still utterly confused, love language, what was that? Momo started laughing at me.

"What are you even talking about? What's so funny?" I wondered.

She wrapped her arms around me, "You look adorable when you're confused, darling."

[25 Minutes Later...]

"Baaaaby... Babe... Aly Bear..." I heard Momo whisper.

"Mmm...? W-What... What is it, Momo?" I sleepily responded.

I turned over and saw her with one of my hoodies on, "Can we go get ice cream?"

I blinked my tired eyes a few times and gave her an "Are You Serious Right Now" look. I sighed before scooting closer to her.

"Are... Are you aware that it's currently 1 in the morning?" I yawned.

"Yes, and what point are you trying to make, darling?" She wondered.

I sat up in my bed, "It's. One. In. The. Morning. What place is going to be open at this time?"

"Weeelll, you haven't lived here all of your life, so you would not have knowledge of certain places that CAN be open right now." Momo argued.

I motioned her to sit on my lap, she walked over and plopped down on my lap, I placed my hands on her cheeks.

"I'm tired and I'm certain we have school tomorrow, not to mention I'm sure we've got ice cream in the fridge downstairs. Can we please just go to bed?" I told her.

She looked to the side before looking back at me. Momo put her hands on mine before speaking.

"Ith Queam..." She whispered.

"Oh, alright, let's go get ice cream." I lightly chuckled.

Momo smiled brightly at me as she clung onto me, I walked downstairs to the kitchen as she held onto me. I opened the bottom of the fridge and found the 3 tubs of ice cream we had.

"Hey, what kind do you want?" I asked.

I didn't get a response from her, I looked at her and noticed that she was dead asleep! I smiled as I closed the bottom of the fridge. I walked back upstairs to my room, I held her close to me just in case she fell off of me. At least now I can get some sleep, I hope.
